10 Things That Scare You/Freak You Out

Ferris Wheels, seriously they scare me to death! When I was around 12 we were at an amusement park with our church group. I was next in line to ride the Ferris wheel with one of the adults when the band snapped on the wheel, barely missing my head. If he hadn’t shoved me under the railing out of the way well…. It took hours and many people to let our kids who were on that ride off….it was horrible. I have never been on a Ferris wheel since.
Snakes…hate them, they freak me out and of course, we have them where we live!
Sky-lifts where your feet dangle…I have to have my feet on something solid! Feet dangling, freaks me out!
Being on a mountain road that is curvy, narrow, and has no guardrails! Been there, done that, don’t enjoy it!
The mom in me gets scared when I can’t get hold of my kids and I know they are on their way home, and it’s late and they are on the road.
Thinking that my dad will wait to long before he finally realizes what he’s missing. This scares me and makes me sad.
The idea of my computer crashing….freaks me out!
The financial crisis, scares me!
This election is kind of scaring me….
Haunted houses…scare me to death…I hate them with a passion! When I was a teenager we went to a huge one in Chicago. A vampire grabbed me, I decked him. Seriously, I don’t take it well when people try to scare me. Oh I like to be scared by horror movies & books, just not haunted houses!

Something new (for me anyway, I’ve seen this at Janet’s many times) brought to you by Lisa!

1. What is the most useful gift you’ve ever been given? My first box of crayons, they were what opened me to explore my creative side at a very young age. I loved creating my own lines. Still do.

2. Name the most terrifying moment of your life so far. My son was just a toddler, we were at a water park, it was closing time and he disappeared. It was pure chaos, people were leaving in droves, I was screaming his name, yelling for them to shut the gates, searching everywhere. He had disappeared within seconds. D rushed out from the changing area during this time finding me in a complete panic. As he and employees of the park started searching, I happened to look into the arcade….there he was, sitting under a pinball machine. I was the happiest momma in the world at the moment! That was one of the most terrifying moments of my life.

3. One hot summer afternoon, while walking through a parking lot at a large shopping center, you notice a dog suffering badly from the heat inside a locked car. What would you do? Call 911 immediately. I’d like to break the window and give the dog relief, but common sense tells me that a dog in stress could act irrationally, so I’d wait for the professionals to come and handle it.

We had a good weekend, did some shopping, attended a wedding, survived the glares of the WWotW who was in attendance, went to Romano’s Macaroni Grill for a fabulous dinner because I deserved to splurge, spent Sunday laying around the house with my honey, because we were nothing but lazy! Nothing spectacular this weekend. We didn’t go take photos of Brandon and Brittney for their “save the date” announcement like we planned because she was exhausted after the wedding. Gee I wonder why? Hopefully we’ll get it done soon. Now that her sister’s wedding is over, she can focus on her own more.

Miss Priss starts her new job today, she’s going to work for my step-dad and mom’s company. She’s very excited! She is their new receptionist and she will be working full-time as well as going to school! Send her positive thoughts as she adjusts to a full schedule!
