Dad seems to be doing pretty good, he starts physical therapy on Tuesday. He looked pretty well on Sunday when I saw him, he seemed in good spirits also, which was good. When he would have difficulty doing something, he’d joke or laugh about it, though you could see the frustration on his face. He is having a hard time with keeping his train of thought…which is normal though that really aggravates him. He knows that it will take some time, but I do know where I got my impatience from.

I heard some wonderful news from a friend of mine, he announced his engagement!! Please go over to his blog, DeWayne’s World and read how he proposed, it is quite sweet and I know he’d love to share with some new friends! Tell him that Sherry sent you!

It’s snowing here! As they say, if you don’t like the weather in Texas, just wait a few hours and it’ll change! It was 71 this morning, it’s freezing now with snow….gotta love it! Though you wonder why everyone you see is sniffling?

I know, not exactly a Blizzard, but it’s snow in Texas!!!

I just thought my tests were over!!! Sigh….I got a call today from the cardio doctor’s office, where I went and had the stress test done. They regretted to inform me that the scan they did after the stress test, did not come out and that I was going to have to come back in and do it again!! UGH! I’m scheduled to do it all again on Friday. Not looking forward to it since it took them seven sticks to get my IV started (it’s a nuclear stress test). I’m hoping things go better this time around.

In other news, Big D had an interesting business dinner on Sunday. It was a dinner celebrating the first delivery of the F-22 to Alaska, so they had this fancy dinner with the Alaskan Senator, several congressmen and Generals, and other military brass. This was one of the few times spouses were not invited. I was a little disappointed seeing it was at a swanky restaurant that I would have loved to try! But the reason we were not included was that military brass did not have their spouses with them. Oh well, maybe next time.

Well it’s been a couple nights now sleeping on our new bed and I LOVE IT!!!!! It’s like sleeping on a cloud! I never thought I would wake up and not limp those first few steps in the morning….but now I just hop out of bed!! It’s awesome! Big D says he’s sleeping great, no back pain at all. If you are in the market for a new bed, invest in a sleep number bed, I’m telling you, it’s worth it!!!

Anyone else sick of all the media about Anna Nicole Smith’s death? I actually think it’s really sad that she died at such a young age. There is no way she could have ever been happy. She was a beautiful girl, but she led a pitiful life. I’m so sick of the “Who’s the babies daddy?” news blurbs. There’s like four guys claiming to be the dad now. Can you imagine the life this poor child will have? Anna Nicole will be tabloid news for years….what a waste of a life.

Well, that’s all that’s on my mind for today…..what’s on yours?
