Loved this sequence of photos of a very friendly window washer in Chicago. Makes my knees weak just looking at them up there on that little board!

I searched in my Flickr account and this was one of the photos that came up. Taken in Cuervo, New Mexico, a ghost town, this truck has been ruined by nature and neglect. But I believe in everything there is beauty.

Loretto Chapel, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Inside the Gothic structure is the staircase referred to as miraculous, inexplicable, marvelous and is sometimes called St. Joseph’s Staircase. The stairway confounds architects, engineers and master craftsmen. It makes over two complete 360-degree turns, stands 20’ tall and has no center support. It rests solely on its base and against the choir loft. The risers of the 33 steps are all of the same height. Made of an apparently extinct wood species, it was constructed with only square wooden pegs without glue or nails.

This is the dirt road we took so I could photograph the buildings of the “ghost town” of Cuervo, New Mexico. The road was as spooky as the town!

When we took our trip to New Mexico it was fabulous. As I have mentioned before I took over 830 photos, some of my favorites are of Cuervo, New Mexico, a “ghost town” that we passed on our way home. As was usual for me I had my camera in hand while we were driving down the road, snapping away at anything that caught my eye when I saw these amazing old buildings, but before I could really focus on what I was seeing we were past the town.  I just looked at Big D and he knew it was one of those moments that he had to endure with living with someone who has a passion, one for photography and for old buildings. The next exit was about 10 miles down the road, (thanks to navigation we didn’t have to guess) and we headed back to what was one of the highlights for me on our trip. It was like traveling back in time when I stepped out of our car, a little creepy also since it was deserted and you felt like you were being watched! But I got lost in photographing the scenery so that feeling soon left. We didn’t stay near long enough for me, but I did get some good shots…so here is my Thursday Thirteen this week, the ghost town of Cuervo, New Mexico, enjoy!

Well, I was stumped on this theme till I saw this photo from my recent trip…this is what happens when it’s raining, I’m bored, and there’s nothing else to photograph as were going down the road, you get my “wrinkled” feet.
