1. Journey – some great making out tunes from that group!

2. Steve Perry – When he sang “Oh Sherrie” made my heart go pitter patter..I even forgave him for spelling my name wrong.

3. Foreigner – One of the best concerts I went to back then.

4. Styx – Local boys, got to see them a time or too also.

5. Queen – Some of my best memories are with Queen songs!

6. Duran Duran – Yep, I liked them…

7. Every time I hear this song I think of Friday and Saturday nights at the roller rink, Ladies only…….

1. “Sweet Emotion” Aerosmith – Dazed and Confused: You either knew someone or were like someone in this movie! Brings me back every time!

2. “Try A Little Tenderness”  Otis Redding – Pretty in Pink: Or as I see it, Duckies song!

3. “Time of my Life” – Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes: Great scene, but great song too!

4. “Piano Variation in Blue” - Jan A.P. Kaczmarek – Finding Neverland: This is probably one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever heard, simple and beautiful.

5.  “Don’t You Forget About Me” – Simple Minds – The Breakfast Club:  this song!

6. “Endless Love” – Lionel Richie & Diana Ross – Endless Love: I liked this song so much I had it sung in my wedding!

TEN THINGS I HATED ABOUT SCHOOL

1. Math class. I even had a Math teacher beg me not to take his class again in high school that’s how bad it was.
2. Having to get up early. Can’t tell you how many times I went in late (in high school) because I couldn’t get up. It was convenient that I sounded like my mom on the phone.
3. The cliques, I refused to be categorized. I was me, a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
4. Riding the bus! You had to be at the bus stop so cottonpickin’ early!
5. Walking to school when I missed the bus (pre-license days), it was a good couple miles.
6. PE, I hated the bother of it, the having to dress out, get sweaty, and then get all dolled up for classes again.  The coach liked me and usually sent me on errands   so I didn’t have to dress out!
7. In the 4th grade, trying my hand at graffiti art in a bathroom stall and getting caught. I hated that day and I never tried that again!
8. Biology. Dissecting animals was just too gross, my lab partner thank heaven liked me, so he did all the dirty work!
9. Picture day! Because you always had to get your hair trimmed, and mom I love you but you sometimes got just a bit too scissor happy when it came to the bangs! My sister and I have some “interesting” grade school photos!
10. I hate that no matter how hard you try, you lose touch with those friends you had from school once it’s over. I’ve only kept in touch with a few sporadically through the years.

10 Things to Do When It’s Too Hot to Go Outside

1. Blog/Surf the web – that is something I do daily in the comfort of the cool A/C in the house!
2. Go to the mall because shopping therapy in the cool mall is always fun! It’s the getting there that sucks.
3. Drink gallons of iced tea. Something I am doing these past few days.
4. Play Wii!
5. Enjoy a good book and a cool drink while lounging in a comfy chair.
6. Put my Ipod on and slip in-between the cool sheets for a nap.
7. Go see a movie…it’s always cold in the theater!!
8. Jump in the pool….I know you have to go outside for that one, but it’s cooling to be in the pool especially if you have an ice cold beer while floating on your float!
9. Just veg out!
10. Daydream about when the thermostat drops down to below 60° !!!!

’10 Least Favorite Celebrities’

1. Tom Cruise – I use to like him back in the Risky Business, Top Gun days, but he’s a nutter now.
2. Rosie – She’s just annoying to me.
3. Donald Trump – He’s annoying too…his hair drives me nuts!
4. Steven Seagal – whoever told him he could act lied to him.
5. Brittney Spears – the girl is just nasty and certainly forgot her priorities like her kids!
6. Troy Aiken – Former Dallas Cowboy Quarterback, I once was standing next to him at a pre-season game when a little boy came up to him and asked for a autograph. He told him no. I have disliked him since, a lot!  Jerk!
7. Paris Hilton – Why is she even considered a celebrity??? Mindless twit.
8. Amy Winehouse – Though I actually like her singing, she’s a horrible example that you can make millions and  be a star while strung out on drugs and booze.
9. Martha Stewart – Can you say OCD…
10. Conan O’Brien – I cannot stand his voice, his humor, anything about him! I won’t be watching the “The Tonight Show” when he takes over for Leno. Letterman it is!

 1.  The Microwave – thank heaven for this little invention or else my family would never get anything hot to eat.

2.  The Cell Phone – Though there are times when I absolutely hate the thing, like when my hubby’s Blackberry goes off repeatedly at the most inconvenient times. But….it also comes in handy, to keep in touch with kids, family and friends in situations when you wouldn’t be able to otherwise. We’d be lost without them!

3.  The Computer – Good gosh where the heck would we be without the computer! That’s a scary thought!!

4.  The Automobile – Sure beats getting around by horse-drawn carriage!

5.  Indoor plumbing – enough said.

OK, now on to more personal (selfish things)…..

6.  The Keurig Coffee Pot – Best way to make the perfect cup of coffee, every single time!!

7.  Air Conditioning – Makes life so much more pleasant when it’s in the high 90′s!

8.  Stamps.com – I absolutely love being able to print all my postage at home! No more trips to the post office!

9.  Cameras – I don’t even want to think where we would be without cameras! The things we would miss capturing, the memories…so sad!

10. Malls – Makes those shopping trips so much more fun, everything is under one roof!
