10 Bands/Artists that Remind You of High School

1. Journey – some great making out tunes from that group!

2. Steve Perry – When he sang “Oh Sherrie” made my heart go pitter patter..I even forgave him for spelling my name wrong.

3. Foreigner – One of the best concerts I went to back then.

4. Styx – Local boys, got to see them a time or too also.

5. Queen – Some of my best memories are with Queen songs!

6. Duran Duran – Yep, I liked them…

7. Every time I hear this song I think of Friday and Saturday nights at the roller rink, Ladies only…….

8. Boston – not only for the music, but it seems everywhere you looked someone was wearing those black concert tee’s.

9. John Cougar singing “Jack and Diane” we’d be cruising Marquette Park me and my best buds, looking cool and jamming to the tunes.

10. Meatloaf – Paradise by the Dashboard Light…..the anthem of high school.

10 Things That Scare You/Freak You Out

Ferris Wheels, seriously they scare me to death! When I was around 12 we were at an amusement park with our church group. I was next in line to ride the Ferris wheel with one of the adults when the band snapped on the wheel, barely missing my head. If he hadn’t shoved me under the railing out of the way well…. It took hours and many people to let our kids who were on that ride off….it was horrible. I have never been on a Ferris wheel since.
Snakes…hate them, they freak me out and of course, we have them where we live!
Sky-lifts where your feet dangle…I have to have my feet on something solid! Feet dangling, freaks me out!
Being on a mountain road that is curvy, narrow, and has no guardrails! Been there, done that, don’t enjoy it!
The mom in me gets scared when I can’t get hold of my kids and I know they are on their way home, and it’s late and they are on the road.
Thinking that my dad will wait to long before he finally realizes what he’s missing. This scares me and makes me sad.
The idea of my computer crashing….freaks me out!
The financial crisis, scares me!
This election is kind of scaring me….
Haunted houses…scare me to death…I hate them with a passion! When I was a teenager we went to a huge one in Chicago. A vampire grabbed me, I decked him. Seriously, I don’t take it well when people try to scare me. Oh I like to be scared by horror movies & books, just not haunted houses!
