American Idol that is! So did you watch it? My favorite part of the show is the tryouts…I love them! The good, the bad and the ugly! Oh my!!! They had something from every category, believe me! From the talented to oh my gosh, I can’t believe they actually thought they could sing!! It does amaze me that so many tryout that can’t carry a tune. I feel sorry for the ones who seem so crushed when they walk out from the whippin’ they get from Simon, Paula and Randy. The one’s I don’t feel sorry for are the one’s who come out ranting and raving, cussing and telling the world what stars they will be one day and we all will be sorry. Yeah, I’m sure.

Simon was his snarky self. This one contestant who sang “Fallen” belted it out with a gorgeous voice, she made it…no doubt, no questions. But Simon waited till she exited and asked, “Do we have a bigger stage this season?” So uncalled for..so Simon. Yes the gal was plus size, but so what! Does that have anything to do with her voice? UGH…he really pushes my buttons!!

There were some real stand outs and it’s just the beginning! It should be interesting to see who ends up as the final contestants!

Tonight, more tryouts…..will you be watching?

It’s all over, the red carpet and the acceptance speeches…which I have to say were not disappointing. The thing about the Golden Globes I like is that everyone seems more relaxed, now it could be all the alcohol that is floating around, but it does seem to make for a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Reese Witherspoon looked gorgeous, but what’s up with her husband? He seemed really obnoxious, didn’t he?
Johnny Depp has his pirate look going on…..I find it rather sexy.
Gwenth Paltrow really needed to do something with her hair! She looks beautiful pregnant, but please, don’t forget the hair!!
Joaquin Phoenix disappointed me….I wanted him to get up and say, “Hello, I’m Joaquin Phoenix” in that awesome Johnny Cash voice. He let me down.
Steve Carrell from “The Office” acceptance speech was the best of the night!
Drew Barrymore needed a bra.
Anthony Hopkins is a class act.
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, winner for lead actor for TV mini series, “Elvis” seems quite arrogant. Just my opinion.
Melanie Griffith just looked tacky…botox, silicone, tattoos…..tacky!
Mariah Carey at least covered up her thighs for this show, better than she did for New Years Eve. Someone needs to have a sit down with that girl and talk style.
George Clooney……Dreamy.
