The rich and famous going behind bars…..Paris Hilton who I despise more than anything, has been sentenced to 45 days in county jail, not a luxury prison for white collar prisoners, but county jail! I have to admit, I laughed! This is a girl who has become famous simply by her partying and her dismissive attitude toward everyone else in the world. This is a girl who has total disregard for the rules of our society. She is so pampered that she never reads her mail. She actually informed the judge at her hearing the she has people do that for her. So legal documents and citations would have eluded her. She just signs what people tell her to sign. Isn’t she special? She tried to justify the reasons why she broke her probation, but the judge didn’t buy it. I’m sure Paris is in shock, she has never had to pay the consequences for her actions before, and money has always bought her out of trouble. You know I didn’t feel one ounce of compassion for her when they showed her on the news with her tear stained face walking out of the courthouse. Is that horrible of me?

I’m sure she’ll stay in shock for awhile, but the really sad thing about this is that our society is so warped that even with her much deserved stint in jail, Paris’s popularity will increase because of it. The premise of her fame is being a bad girl. This is a career move for her. It simply fuels the fascination. She can only win with this…and how sad is that?
