Ever just sit and stare at your keyboard hoping inspiration would strike? Yeah, that’s how I have been for the last few days. The bad thing is when I’m laying in bed trying to go to sleep, inspiration strikes and I can compose a complete post in my head…but I’m too tired to get up and type it up. When I wake up the next morning, I’ve completely forgotten about that brilliant post I composed the night before. So just know, I have had some brilliant posts for you to read, they are just in my head in that place before dreams are made.
So you have been warned that this won’t be one of those brilliant posts.
I’m doing better, the staph infection is gone! Woo Hoo! That sucker hung on like a tick on a dog. (Boy I have lived in Texas a really long time when I start talking like that!
) Still having some pain, which is confusing to me and my surgeon. I had a CAT Scan on Monday and that showed nothing, so that’s good! I have an appointment with the surgeon on Thursday to have a “pow wow” as he called it. Also, my incision is almost completely healed! It has only about 1.5 cm’s to go…from 12 to 1.5….we have made major progress!
What a ride this has been!
Big D is speaking at a conference for work coming up in September and it’s in Chicago!! I’m going to tag along and we’re going to make it a long weekend, a much needed get away! Plus the added benefit, I get to reconnect with old friends and family! I’m really excited and looking forward to visiting some of the great sights of Chicago & eating some of my favorite food!
And for your pleasure….My newest hummingbird feeder……
Maybe I will remember one of those brilliant posts from dreamland soon.
