So here I am, laying in a hospital bed at 12:00 am thinking I had better post something new in here since my last entry was “Happy Easter!”
One thing I can say for hospitals, they never let you sleep! See before I decided to post this (from my nifty iPhone, for the record) I was asleep, sound asleep for the first time in days, but I was paid a visit from a nurse and an aide within a minute of each other. Now as you see, I’m awake…again.
You might be wondering what brought me to the hospital ( a car
) first it was severe pain in my stomach which I knew was a flare up of Diverticulitis, again. My doctor sent me to the ER for a CAT scan and blood work and once that came back, they told me they needed to admit me to give antibotics thru IV and to control the pain. (Thank heaven they are being generous with those drugs!)
While in here, I have had some of the sweetest nurses. One could be Lauren Grahams (Gilmore Girls, Lorelie) double, she even talks like her! Also there’s a tech that reminds me of Michael Clark Duncan! I’m not sure what’s up with the staff here looking like celebrities, but I have yet to see George Clooney!
As far as I go, I have three doctors looking over me, each one doing their own special thing. Though they all agree that since this is my 4th flare up in seven months, that’s just too many. What happens after we get the infection under control is still up in the air though surgery had been mentioned quite a few times.
Pain meds are kicking in so I better sign off (No need for stoned blogging
). I appreciate all the well wishes over on FaceBook, and prayers are greatly appreciated too!
Signing off from hospital bed #4127…
