Friday Fill-In #117

1. “In a hole in the ground there lived a bunny who was enjoying a pot of tea.”

2. “You don’t know about me,  but that ain’t no matter.”

3. “After dark the rain began to fall again, so we cuddled under the covers, listening to the raindrops fall on the tin roof till we fell asleep in each other’s arms.”

4. “My fortune of gold was finally found from the hold of the Spanish galleon.”

5. “There was a hand in the darkness, and as she felt it take hold of her arm, her scream would not escape, she could only pray that it was not the man of her nightmares.”

6. “Accidents ambush the unsuspecting, being a klutz also works.”

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to dinner and looking at wedding photos with the newlyweds, tomorrow my plans include going to the casino with my honey and Sunday, I want to see what the day brings!

TT – Wedding Highlights

This weeks 13 is about what else, the wedding…..

1. It was a gorgeous day! The country club where the wedding was held was beautiful with the greens and we couldn’t have asked for a better day!

2. Brandon and his groomsmen spent the day chilling and getting ready at their apartment.

3. When I first saw Brittney, she took my breath away, she was absolutely beautiful . I was in the brides room when the best-man delivered her gift from Brandon, a pearl charm bracelet with a dangle heart charm that is engraved with their wedding date on the back and “My Mrs” on the front.  He did good, she loved it and couldn’t read his card, she was getting to emotional and didn’t want to mess up her make-up ! )

4. I gave Brittney a small token, a linen handkerchief that my mother gave me on my wedding day. It is something old and something blue as it had blue embroidery. Again, another emotional moment.

5. Before the ceremony I spent time with my son, he was pretty relaxed and very ready to see his soon-to-be bride!

“Is it time yet?”

6. The ceremony was absolutely gorgeous, the bride walked down escorted by her father to this song….I loved it, something orginal and very her!

7. During the ring ceremony the groomsmen added a bit of humor. The best-man, my nephew Nathan went to go for the ring and started patting his pockets like he didn’t have it. He then looked at the next groomsman, who did the same thing, who then looked at the next who actually turned around and started to go look for it when the best-man “found” the ring in his pocket. It was very cute and everyone got a giggle out of it, though my son did look quite nervous! lol

8. Did I mention that Brandon’s grandfather officiated the ceremony? It was really special to have his “Poppy” marry him and Brittney and he did a wonderful job. He’s been a minister for 53 years, I think this was probably his proudest moment.

9. Brandon’s sister “Miss Priss” was a bridesmaid, and she looked gorgeous! She was one very proud sister!

Awe!! Aren’t they cute?!

11. The reception was fantastic! Brandon and Brittney were announced and had there first dance, followed by something very special instead of a father/daughter dance, her father is a musician and he played “Daughters” with her accompanying him. It was beautiful! Brandon and I danced to “Forever Young” by Rod Stewart. It was very special. sentimental

12.  During the dinner there was a slide show playing of photos of  Brandon and Brittney thru the years and of them together. It was very entertaining and had me a little choked up. They also had a video they shot that was hilarious that I’m trying to figure out how to upload it on here….stayed tuned.

13. I didn’t “cry,” I did tear up though a few times. It was such a beautiful day, not just weather wise, but in everything. Everyone had a great time, I know because they told me so! I danced till I had blisters on my feet, but that didn’t stop me! I tried to see everyone, speak to everyone, thank everyone….but I’m sure I missed a few because  there was one thing I wasn’t going to do and that was miss one moment of celebrating the biggest day in my sons life.  Now I have to let it sink in…..I’m a mother-in-law. shock

More to come! innocent
