Have you noticed something lately, I haven’t been “writing” a lot lately. Sure I post the meme’s and photos, but as for blogging it’s been absent of late. What’s the reason you may ask…well, where should I begin….
It has been rather hectic around here lately, it’s only 26 days until my son gets married. I can’t believe the year has flown by this fast! Bridal showers are in the next two weeks and all the other activities that go with pre-wedding. Busy time!
Big D and I are hosting the Rehearsal Dinner, and we finally found the perfect place. It was not easy as we had to find somewhere in an area we were not very familiar with. But I do believe we found the perfect setting for such an occasion!
Oh and there’s the little thing of me not having a dress yet.
I know! I have a reason for this but I think I am stressing myself out a little too much.
As you may remember me mentioning, I hired a personal trainer awhile back so I am really wanting to wait before splurging on a dress. BUT, at night as I lay in bed and think of the things I need to do, I end up having little panic attacks! I will get everything done, it just feels like it’s not going to happen!
Last Friday Miss Priss had to have oral surgery, all four of her wisdom teeth out. To say that this was a horrific experience would be putting it mildly. I knew when I saw her afterwards something wasn’t right, but it was when we got in the car and her uncontrollable shaking and sobbing was more than I could stand! Since she could not speak, she used my phone and typed what happened. As soon as they got her seated, they strapped her arms, started the IV, covered her eyes and began. They didn’t check to see if she was sedated or not and she wasn’t. My daughter felt and heard everything. She tried to get the surgeons attention by kicking her legs. She even has a bruise from the table on her leg. But he would just tell her not to kick. She heard him ask for the saw, then heard and felt her tooth being sawed in half. The thought that my daughter went through this hell is more than my heart can take. Her fear going in this was not knowing what was going on or hearing anything….she was assured over and over again, she wouldn’t and instead she lived through her own personal hell. It’s been a really tough weekend.
I’m looking at my week and there’s so much to do, to be honest all I really want to do is curl up in bed and close the world out for at least a day. Do I see that happening….not a chance.
And just because this makes me smile……

Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry your poor daughter had to endure this kind of trauma! Literally have tears reading this. Please pass on some words of encouragement for me, I hope there will be some sort of retribution or something that can be done to help her heal emotionally.

OK, I think I would be getting an attorney. That doctor needs a wake up call. Can you say MALPRACTICE!!! They should NEVER have started until they were SURE she was sedated. I am outraged by this. I can’t even imagine HOW she stood this. Let me know what you do!

I am horrified and angry for what your daughter went through. I had my wisdom teeth out many years ago and I was out cold during the entire experience. I can’t even begin to imagine how terrible this was (and still is!!) for her. I am not one to cry malpractice, but I’m chanting it right now. What she went through should have never happened.
And to deal with all of that AND the happy busy-business of a wedding, too!
Go buy a wonderful dress.
