Wordless Wednesday – Vintage

My not so wordless Wednesday. innocent

Vintage Brownie

This Kodak Brownie Starlet was my very first camera. It was given to me around the age of 7 by my mom, it had been her’s when she was young and she passed it down to me when I was at an age to appreciate it. I loved that camera and taking pictures of my family.

There is a handwritten date on the box of 1954, that’s the year my mom got the camera. There is also “AGI Bulb 127″ written on the box in my grandfather’s handwriting. What a treasure!

That indeed is a treasure. When I saw the subject for WW my first thought was, “If I participated in this I could just put up a picture of me!!!” I’m vintage!!!
Have a great day, my friend!

that’s a wonderful heirloom! … and a very good metaphor for “captured moments” from generation to generation )

I remember those kinds of cameras.
My Wordless Wednesdays really aren’t wordless. Can’t help it! I always have to explain or comment. )

Wow! love the Brownie!

My husband purchased a Brownie for me from ebay back in November. I shot two rolls of film, one was under exposed, and the other over… any tips you could lend would be much appreciated! Would love to see some photos from your Brownie.

Happy WW!

How awesome to still have your first camera! Mine was, I think, a very small insta-matic with a big bulb thing that you plugged into the top, long and thin. I am sure it’s long gone ) And, of course, it’s not nearly as photogenic as yours! Great shot too )
