Thursday Thirteen 115

1. This week it’s random, because that’s the way it’s been around here…pretty random!

2. Wednesday morning as I was walking through the living-room on my way into the kitchen for that all important first cup of coffee, I looked out the windows and saw the strangest sight, the tops of covered wagons slowly rolling by on the road behind our house! shock Took me a second, then I realized that a wagon train was actually rolling by! Of course, I grabbed my camera and ran outside!

Wagons, horses, cowboys and cowgirls! Heehaw! lol

3. Remember the contest I mentioned two weeks ago that This Eclectic Lifewas holding for tickets to see Celtic Thunder? I WON! Woo Hoo!! Men in kilts, I’m going to take Miss Priss with me for a “girls night” and because she will appreciate the kilts much more than Big D! )

4. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m thrilled that CoffeeMate’s Peppermint Mocha and Gingerbread creamers are back! luv

5. If you are a regular here you know I am a HUGE “Wicked” fan, well Gregory Maguire the author of “Wicked” wrote the third in the Wicked years, “A Lion Among Men.” Haven’t finished it yet, but I’m not as into it as I was the first two. Kind of disappointed. Hope it gets better, I really want it to.

6. Fall has finally hit here…it dropped 20° in two hours, I love it! If only we got the beautiful Fall foliage then it would be perfect! Wonder if I can talk D in a weekend getaway to someplace that is decked out in Fall colors? ? :

7. Speaking of D he came home early pretty sick. I love him dearly, but when he’s sick he’s the biggest baby ever! roll All that moaning and groaning….jeez! I gave him a big dose of NyQuil to knock him out! )

8. Miss Priss is loving her new job, and this last week she put in some big OT so she is loving the big paychecks! She’s doing such a good job and I hear that from her bosses! Very proud!

9. In wedding news, they have picked out their invitations, save the date announcements, and all those goodies and ordered them. We are at five months and counting!

10. Believe it or not I have found my formal for the company holiday party already!! That’s a first ever to find one this soon! I’m ordering it, so unless something is wrong that’s one thing down. Of course there’s shoes and a bag to get…. innocent

11. Anyone else tired of election ads? shrug

12. And because it’s close to Halloween, here’s a pumpkin shot:

The Pumpkin Trio

13. On Flickr there’s a project called the “One Object 365 Days Project” that I am participating in…here’s my day three entry…

Suki got in my yarn!

See, I didn’t like the book Wicked, it was too slow for me. But the musical is one of my favorites. )

Gosh, why was there a wagon train outside your house? That would completely trip me!

I loved Wicked but didn’t like son of a witch. So it’s interesting that the lion book isn’t as good. I think he’s on contract – these books aren’t as inspired as the others

That’s so cool that those covered wagons rolled by so close — great photo op and very nostalgic. )

Have a great time at Celtic Thunder, gotta love a man in a kilt!

I’m glad the creamers are back too, and I’m trying out the new caramel apple one right now. Gingerbread is up next for me )

Sorry D is sick, hope he gets better soon and you guys have a great weekend!

P.S. That Suki, she’s going to get into so much trouble for the next 362 days!
