It’s random again, because…well, because.
D has finished his Master’s! Graduation is a week from Friday! I’m so very proud of him! It hasn’t been easy, he is a husband, a father, a provider and got his Master’s with a 4.0…now that’s my hero!
It’s been so freakin’ hot here, so far over 100° every day!! The heat index, 105° let me tell you people, that is hot! Even our pool temp is in the 90’s!
I had a doctor’s appointment this week. One of those well woman check ups… I look forward to those like the plaque. I ended up getting a tetanus shot since it’s been ten years since my last, my arm is so dang sore!
Now I have date with the dermatologist for a biopsy for a spot found on my breast…of course, the soonest they could get me in was the first week in September. Nice to keep me waiting.
I’ve been using the website GoodReads lately (Thanks Stacy!) and love it! It’s a wonderful way to keep track of your library and find new books to read! If you use GoodReads, add me as a friend, if you don’t, sign up and then add me!
D and I are planning a “mini” vacation after his graduation. We can’t do what we really wanted because he has business trips scheduled before and after the time we can go. We can’t decide where to go though since we will only have six days, leaving on a Tuesday and being back on Sunday. Any suggestions?

I need a housekeeper….( I know random, but that’s the name of the list! ) So not in the mood to clean house!
I cannot believe that July is almost over! Is it me or is time just flying by?
I did something I haven’t done in ages, worked on a jigsaw puzzle! As a kid my grandmother and I use to do them all the time! I missed that, so I started one today!
We finally got some rain!!! Though being under thunderstorm warnings aren’t cool.

Getaway? From DFW there’s alway Vegas. This time of year the rates are great.
Go see Cirque Du Soliel for sure! Just a thought.

It is very scary that July is almost over…And I thought it was ME…I mean about time passing quickly. It comforts me my dear YR that you feel that way too.
Where to go? How about a short Cruise…like to Alaska…I hear that is a GREAT trip…but maybe you and D have already done that….!

I LOVE Jigsaw puzzles…! I bet I have done 300 of them by the time I was 25 or so…..Haven’t done one in a very long time….There is something very relaxing and fun about finding the right “fit”, isn’t there?

Thanks so much for the concern, my dear….I actually added a little notation on my most recent post telling everyone everything is fine here…The Earthquake was very scary, but no damage or anything, at least here in the Hills….It was scary because it was a “rolling” quake and grew in intensity every second it went on….it was only 20 seconds, but when things are shaking and rattling it feels like a lot longer…If you take a stop watch and set the second hand at zero and then start it…20 seconds is a lot longer than you think when ALL that novement and noise is going on….! You were so sweet to inquire about my welfare and I dearly appreciate it.

I vote for Vegas for your little get-away. I recommend the Bellagio. We stayed there in April. It’s a nice hotel and in a good location. The Forum shops at Caesar’s (which is next door to the Bellgio) are great!

It’s incredibly hot here too. I’d like to say that it’s just July and August, but the fact of the matter is that our September days are still really warm. Maybe by October!
