1. The weather has been horrible here. Lots of storms, hail, even tornados!
Thankfully we haven’t had anything near us that was too bad, just some pea sized hail. Miss Priss did freak out because her new car was outside!
2. Have I mentioned that we bought Miss Priss a new car? It’s a 2008 Ford Fusion, very cute and has some neat features that she loves. We feel she’s safer driving this than she was driving the Jeep….though the Jeep was fun!

Miss Priss’s new wheels
3. We went out to eat with family for Brandon’s 23rd birthday to Taverna in downtown. I LOVE that place! They have the best Italian food! I have found out that having my best friend and my sister together with bottles of wine = one fun time!
4. We are taking Brandon to a Ranger’s baseball game for his birthday. D bought tickets right behind the first base dugout, and we get access to the Cuervo Club, which means all the food and drinks we want!
I’m not a big baseball fan, but it’s what he wanted…so I’ll grin and bear it!
5. Speaking of grinning and bearing it…..I had to have my annual mammogram this week. UGH! I swear that machine was created by a man! I know it’s something we have to do, but can’t they figure out a way of doing it without smashing me like pancake?!
6. I am getting that gardener’s itch! I am wanting to do some more planting in the flower beds here but the weather won’t cooperate! I have pots that are just waiting for new flowers!!
7. My Lady Banks climbing rose (thanks Stacy & burntofferings for the name) is in full bloom! It’s absolutely gorgeous!

Lady Banks Roses on our back porch!
8. I love Spring, love the flowers, the new blooms, everything turning green, etc. What I hate about Spring is that the bugs and other small critters start coming out. The other night I was walking through the dark house, barefoot, checking doors before setting the alarm when I felt something under my foot. I yelled. Switched on the light and there was one big honking spider!!
D had to come kill it and I, no longer walk barefoot in the house.
9. The other thing I did this week was weed out the flowerbeds. I spent the whole time a nervous wreck looking out for snakes! I am deathly afraid of snakes. Thankfully, Brandon and our adopted son, Daniel showed up and took over! I helped though, I held the garbage bag.
10. Ok, you all know I have mentioned “Share a Square” many times on here, and thanks to everyone who has contributed to it! The goal was met and then some! But now let me share with you something I think that is really neat from the creator of “Share A Square!“
11. Shelly, the creator of “Share A Square” is a dreamer, a big dreamer and she has a dream about raising the funds to send kids with cancer to camp. Read all about it here (after you finish with my 13 and comment of course!
)
12. And while I’m sharing the word, don’t forget that it’s only three months till we give out the afghans and we need those little bags to include with them for the tags!! What bags you ask?
13. These bags! Share A Square Bag Project, click the button and read what it’s all about! We are really needing some generous volunteers to donate to this great project!! It’s getting close folks and we REALLY need some bags, so what do you say, wanna be a bag lady/man?

I like Spring, too. As I wrote in my 100, I like to garden in April and October. This is one of those months. Happy TT

Sweet ride for a sweet girl. Our son loves the Mets so Mr. Wonderful and he would have a standing date whenever the Braves and the Mets played in Atlanta. Enjoy the game!

Great T13! That Lady Banks is gorgeous, ours is not nearly that big yet. And, get this, mine is nearly through blooming. The blooms are fading. That’s the only thing I don’t like about it, it doesn’t bloom long enough!
I sorely need to weed a bunch of my flower beds, but like you, I’m deathly afraid of snakes. I need to do it soon though, I always try to plant summer annuals the last of April or the first of May. I want to plant them sooner, but if I do, they won’t make it through July around here
The Rangers game sounds awesome!
Have a great day and weekend

Severe thunderstorms here Tuesday night and last night too. Way too much rain in Northwest Arkansas.
When we lived in Dallas, we took our daugher to a Rangers game for her 8th birthday. I called ahead and had them wish her a happy birthday on the scoreboard in the 5th inning. She thought that was amazing. Have a great T13.

I’m thinking about trying to grow actual food in my garden this year. I’m not sure how well I’ll do, but I’m thinking that I’ll try carrots.
Wish me luck! (and happy TT!)

Hi Yellow Rose!
I have a theatre journal blog too (link in sidebar) that has reviews of everything we’ve seen since 2005. This time, we saw “South Pacific,” “Young Frankenstein,” and “Cry Baby!” I hope to get the reviews up in a day or so.
Thanks for stopping by today. You know what, “Wicked” is in my top 5 favorite musicals, and we did see it with its original cast when it opened on Bway, and then twice with two different touring companies. The Current LA cast has an extended run (indefinite) and its the best cast I’ve seen other than the original. I really wanted to see Shoshana Bean when she did a turn as Elphaba, but couldn’t get back to the city.
I absolutely love your blog format and color scheme. Fun and bright and cheery!

Wow, looks like you’ve had worse weather than we have. No hails here and right now no snow either, but you’ll never know with April. Anything can happen….
Love that new car for Miss Priss, it almost look unreal. Very stylish indeed!!!! Love the color too!!!
That Taverna looks like a place to drool for…. Yummy.
…and your flowers are simply gorgeous. No such flowers around here yet for at least a month or more.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving the kind comment about the loss of my Mom.
