TT_Irish.jpg

I had some hiccups with my blog this week, but I’m back!! ) Today I’m sharing my favorite Irish quotes, blessings, and proverbs this week in celebration of my Irish heritage! Enjoy!!

1. As you slide down the banister of life, may the splinters never point in the wrong direction! - Irish Blessing

2. May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow, and may trouble avoid you wherever you go.
- Irish Blessing

3.  May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields
and, Until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of His hand

- An Irish Blessing

4. May those who love us love us
And those who don’t love us
May God turn their hearts,
And if He doesn’t turn their hearts,
May He turn their ankles,
So we’ll know them by their limping
.
- Irish Prayer

5. “I believe in the sun when it’s not shining, I believe in love even when I feel it not, I believe in God even when he is silent.”
- Irish Sayings quote

6. May you have warm words on a cold evening, A full moon on a dark night, And the road downhill all the way to your door.
- An Irish Blessing

7. May the light of friendship guide your paths together.
May the laughter of children grace the halls of your home.
May the joy of living for one another trip a smile from your lips, a twinkle from your eye.

- An Irish Blessing

8. May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light, May good luck pursue you each morning and night.
- An Irish Blessing

9. May you always have
Walls for the winds
A roof for the rain
Tea beside the fire
Laughter to cheer you
Those you love near you
And all your heart might desire.

- An Irish Blessing

10. May the gracious God hold you both in the palm of His hands.
And, today, may the Spirit of Love find a dwelling place in your hearts.

- An Irish Blessing

11. “Life is like a cup of tea, it’s all in how you make it.”
- Irish Proverb

12. “May the best day of your past be the worst day of your future.”
- Irish Proverb

13. “Wherever you go and whatever you do,
May the luck of the Irish be there with you.”

- Irish Blessing

Hi my sweet Rosie D

I love these homely sayings, my favourite is the one about the sun always being on your face and the wind at your back -)

I remember you asking about my re-enactment hobby - I have finally got around to posting a video of one of our more crowd-pleasing bits D
