I wish I had some advice, I have not had a good nights sleep in months either though. Miss Six is not helping, I seem to spend my nights bouncing from room to room and often end up in the single bed with her. My bags have bags under my eyes and I am pale at the best of times so its not looking good lol.

Oh My Dear....I know this dilemma. My sleep habits have been strange for many many years now...But, what I found to be most helpful was to stop worrying about it. What I found is: That eventually, I DO get some sleep, when my body really really needs it. Then, it's back to the Odd two hours asleep, two hours up, one hour asleep, etc. I also realized, that I didn't NEED as much sleep as I had, when I was younger....(As I have gotten older, this has changed in some ways, but basically, I STILL don't need as much sleep as a lot of othder people.)
I hear people say...."Oh I cannot function unless I've had 9 hours sleep..."
Well, I haven't had nine hours sleep since I was a child. Nor eight or even seven.
I do think the worrying about it can make the Insomnia worse in a way....I have some Video Tapes of movies that are nice relaxing films...Films I really like, (three or four films on a tape...NO COMMERCIALS)....I use to put one of those in the VCR and turn it on and before you know it, I was asleep. It relaxed me and got my mind off of 'Oh, I Cannot Sleep'...!
None of this may be helpful dear YR, but I share it with you in the hope that some little kernal will speak to you and your insomnia, my dear....!

I hardly ever have a problem going to sleep but a long time ago I heard and heeded the advice not to make the bedroom a TV watching or reading or talking on the phone room. If your body associates laying in the bed with going to sleep, you are more likely to drift off. That may not help in the short term but I think it's helped me over the years.
