How was your Valentine’s Day? Mine was lovely, thank you for asking. I was awakened by the doorbell nice and early by the floral delivery person who was MUCH too chipper for that time of morning if you ask me, holiday or not! I’m sure she was scared to death by my appearance. My hair standing on end, deep circles under my eyes and the fact that I barely was able to comprehend the English language since I hadn’t had my usual three cups of java yet. I was able to grunt my thanks when she placed a gorgeous vase of yellow roses in my arms. I did notice she took off rather fast down the steps to the get away vehicle…..so I’m sure I did scare her enough that I’ll be known as the mute, wild looking woman in the cul-de-sac.

In the afternoon Miss Priss and I went for a bit of pampering, manicures and pedicures. You know, there are some things I’ll give up. That isn’t one of them! It’s so nice to be able to relax and visit with my daughter for a hour or so, just girl time. The older she get’s it seems the less we get to have that so it’s nice to take it when we can!

Looking forward to the weekend. D and I are planning on going to the casino Saturday afternoon. It’s a fun little getaway and last time he won quite a lot….(me, not so much ) so maybe our luck will be good! Happy Friday to you!
