I did it!! I finished putting together an afghan for “Share A Square!” It took me longer than I expected, but I plan on doing more!! If you don’t know what “Share A Square” is, (and you should if you are a regular here
) then head on over to the SAS site and read all about it! It’s an amazing project and I’m honored to be a part of it.

In other news, I finally broke down and went to the doctor! Good thing I did too, I have a severe ear infection, sore throat and the beginning of pneumonia! No wonder I have felt so lousy! But I got a shot, RX’s and told to rest, and that is what I am doing…I hate being sick.
Have to tell you about our little visitor we had the other night. It was around 2:00 in the morning and our cat was making this horrible, rapid meow sound. It was so loud it woke D up, (I had my IPod on and listening to music while reading so I didn’t hear her) he asked me to go shut the cat up. I walked into the living room and near the front door sat Rocky cornering a 7 inch snake!!!!
I screamed, of course, which then brought D by my side as I’m screaming that there is a dang snake in my house! D being the hero that he is, killed it and threw it out. Rocky was just playing with it, though had she not made such a racket, who knows when we’d have found the thing! YUCK!! We are wondering if it was in one of the plants that my mom gave me for a housewarming, since I had just put it on the floor that day. I’ve had the heebie jeebie’s since, constantly looking at the floor as I walk through the house…I HATE SNAKES!!
Well the holiday season is closing in, we received our invitation to D’s work Christmas party. I can’t believe it is already that time of year! Guess I have to go shopping for a new outfit…aww shucks!
Have any of you started your shopping yet? Only 46 more shopping days left till Christmas!!

Your afghan is awesome. Thanks for sharing it here. I wish I had that talent.
Oh I can so relate to the snake thing. I had one in my office a few weeks ago…AGH! I hate those things.

Your afghan is absolutely beautiful.
As for the snake, yikes, I don’t know if I would have been able to handle that in the middle of the night. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I haven’t really started shopping, but I’ve got my cards. Does that count?

Hi! I hope you get to feeling well soon. I’ve heard of several people this week who are sick. Perhaps it’s our sudden cold weather….now if it would only rain.
Thanks for visiting Got Bible….just what I needed—another writing project.
My cat is forever bringing up all sorts of critters including snakes. Could the cat have brought it in and you not notice it. It happened to me once. I just about died. She’s also brought in a lizard, a baby bunny, and a chipmunk. Argh!

The afghan came out beautiful, how long did it take you to put together?
Snakes, yuck–> another good reason for our cats to be indoor cats.
Feel better soon.
