Finally I feel like things are getting back to normal! Whew! We worked hard this weekend to finish up things inside the house. I finally found something to hang over my couch! It took me awhile, but I found a pair of prints huge pieces of art (changed the wording to clear my name with a friend!) that I loved and that were perfect! I’ll take some photos soon of the finished rooms!
We also organized our garage…it was a mess!!
We have a bunch of furniture and boxes of garage sale things occupying over half of the garage. But at least it’s organized! We are planning on having a garage sale in two weeks. Hopefully it will be cooler weather by then!
Well, we had our first “oops” with our pool.
It seems that a few nights ago after Big D and I used the hot tub, we forgot to turn off the heater! After cleaning out the garage Sunday afternoon, we all were hot and wanted to take a dip. We jumped in and the pool was as warm as bath water!! We checked the thermostat, and it read 98 degrees!! To top things off, our propane tank is empty!
That’s ok, it was almost empty anyhow. So it’s being refilled tomorrow, but if we learned anything, we learned to make sure that we turn the heater off when we come in from the hot tub!
At least we know that the pool warms up well!! Anyone for a winter swim?
Today Bubba was on his way home from his girlfriends house, she lives about 45 minutes away from us, and he’s been going over there helping her dad build a building on their property. But today as he was coming home, a 18-wheeler ran him off the road (it was a two lane road), it was raining, so he ended up spinning his truck about six times and ending up in a ditch. Thankfully, he was not hurt or his truck damaged. He said the 18-wheeler just continued on his merry way. He was shaken up when he got home, but not near as shaken as I felt as he told me what happened!
I thank God for watching over him. Also, keep him in your thoughts on Wednesday, he has a big job interview!!
Guess that’s it at the Garden for now…

Oh, Girl! Those 18 wheelers are a menace, aren’t they? I’m glad he came through it unscathed. I’ll knock wood for his job interview. As for your house, sounds like you are settling in at last. Did you say winter swim?
