Monday Musings!

Busy weekend here, how about you? I’m glad it’s Monday and I can chill a little today! But that won’t be for long, planning a HUGE garage sale this coming weekend and that will take work!

But back to my weekend. Saturday night Big D and I went to dinner with several members of our extended family for my step-mother’s birthday. We went to Boi Na Braza, a Brazilian restaurant. We’ve been there several times, but it’s been quite awhile so we were looking forward to the experience again. The food was exceptional, and we all ate way too much! We first started out with appetizers and salads and a drink…but we went light with that, wanted to save room for the meat! I ordered their house specialty drink, Caipirinha, which was sorta like a Mojito and Margarita mixed….was very yummy! I did try some new things, Smoked Salmon for one and I did like it, which surprised me! My favorite “meats” that was served by the “Gauchos” was the Pernil (lamb chops) and Picanha Con Alho (Rump roast Cut with Garlic, YUM!) though any of the meat served is delicious! For dessert I splurged and had a Chocolate Mousse cake that was out of this world!! I brought half of it home to prolong the ecstasy of this scrumptious little piece of heaven! This restaurant is amazing, but it’s someplace I enjoy maybe once a year. Just too much food!

Sunday my mom and step-father came to see our house for the first time. It was very nice to see them as I haven’t had the chance since we moved back. They brought us a beautiful floral/plant basket as a housewarming gift.

We had a real nice time with them visiting at the house and then took them to an Italian restaurant in town that we really like for an early dinner. It was a nice afternoon!

We were busy all weekend so D and I decided that soaking in the hot tub was in order. Wonderful way to end a weekend, under the stars with my honey! luv

Now I have the task of organizing this garage sale…..seeing that 3/4’s of our garage is full of garage sale items, furniture, appliances, decorative items, clothes, you name it, it will be in there! I hope it will be a huge success!!

OH I can’t believe I hadn’t posted this!!! Bubba got the job we’ve been waiting on!!! WOO HOO!! mrgreen He will be working for the same corporation as Big D, and his future is bright if he applies himself like his father has. So he’s got a girlfriend, (who we love btw) a new job ….things are looking good for my son.

Miss Priss will be starting college in January, but she want’s to find a part-time job now…so we’re keeping our fingers crossed something will come up for her that suits.

Yeah, I’m thinking Texas is agreeing with our family. innocent
