This guy appears big in the photo, but compared to me towering over him, he’s actually tiny! -) I found this little dude at my in-laws in East Texas, he was hopping around my feet when I was taking pictures of flowers. Guess he wanted his picture taken too! mrgreen

        Like ipanema, I also loved catching grasshoppers when I was a kid and I was good at it.

        LOL! If I had tried to take that shot, HE would have JUMPED — and it would have been a very blurry photo of the sky! lol

        thats a mighty green grasshopper! Great photo for the hunt this week…but I bet he was bigger than our Northern grasshoppers, after all, you did say you cpatured this photo in Texas!

        Wow, how big is that exactly? It is by its look bigger than the average grasshopper but still tiny compared to other animals,:)

        Great shot! I like the contrast of seeing him so large in the photo but knowing how small he is in real life. very cool

        For some reason, grass hoppers fascinate me. Looked them up one day not long ago and was surprised to see how many there were. And they all make different sounds. They blend in so well with that grass.
