1. Some pics from my week in Texas….This is my father-in-law, the whole reason we hopped in the car and trekked to Texas. He is worth it, so we didn’t mind!
He may not look real happy in this picture, but believe me he is! He is doing great!

3. My in-laws live in the small East Texas town of Pittsburg, it is famous for two things, Pilgrims Pride Chicken (Bo Pilgrim is THE man about town).

Here you can see the Pilgrims Pride Plant in the background. It is the number one employer in the area.
3. The second is Pittsburg Hot Links, and let me tell you they may look disgusting, but boy are they good!! Just a word of warning, don’t ask whats in them….it’s better not to know!
:

Like I said, they look gross, but they taste good!
4. This beauty was looking at me in at my in-laws every day, they had some beautiful flowers to photograph! I just could never get the dang little hummingbirds that zipped about! They were too fast for me!

5. This is how you exercise country style…..well according to my two goofballs….

6. We were lucky to have dinner with my grandparents who live in East Texas also!! We had a great visit with them and had my grandma’s wonderful zucchini bread, which is a treat in it’s self!

Grandpa fixing coffee

Grandma warming up the Zucchini bread…Yum!
7. We did head to Fort Worth where we saw a beautiful rainbow…

8. And a beautiful sunset…

9. Here is our view from our hotel room at the Worthington in Downtown Fort Worth, we were five floors over Main street, it was a neat view!

Daytime View
10. And then the night time view….

11. The best place for some fine Mexican food and margaritas!! Plus it’s right across the street from the hotel! We love this place!

12. We did some major house hunting in one day, and we think we found the one we want. Now we have to sell this one, Pronto! We crammed a lot in those 8 days, but we made it work.
13. And last, but certainly not least…If you haven’t heard about “Share a Square” then click the banner below and read all about it! You’ll be glad you did!

Glad you´ve had a great time
I enjoyed LOTS to have a look at your pictures, especially the beautiful flower and the “exercise” photo.
The sausages… well, I´m sure we have a bunch of food to serve in Germany which looks more gross
I´m curious… what´s in these???

I cannot believe that you were less than 30 minutes away from me and didn’t tell me to come buy you a cup of coffee
Don’t you love the Worthington?? Woo! Sounds like you had a good time. Thanks for the mention of Share A Square. Tomorrow, the Happy Hookers will be putting together the first afghans! Thank you again for all your hard work.

I’m glad you’re home safe and sound and I enjoyed your pictures! That flower is GORGEOUS….do you know what kind it is??
I’m glad you’ve found your house…but sad that you’re moving even farther away!! Do you know when you’re moving? Maybe we could “do lunch” one day…I wouldn’t mind driving!
Love you!

What a nice post. I love all of the pictures. So happy for your FIL. That is wonderful that he is doing so much better. You are fortunate to have one. Mine passed away when he was 51!! He was such a sweetie too!! I love those flowers. You do such a great job of taking pictures of flowers. Have a great day. My Thankful Thursday is up too. Sandy
