We had a busy weekend! Saturday we did some shopping for Big D, bought him a tux and shoes for our trip to DC. Of course, bought myself new things also! Bubba went shopping with us, which he doesn’t do often, he just hung with us because he wanted to go to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. I was so proud of myself, I went to Cheesecake Factory and did NOT have my favorite all time dessert, the Godiva cheesecake! *pats self on back!* Sticking to my diet! Though I lusted for it!

Sunday we worked around the house. I tackled the kitchen, including the cabinets. Fun times folks! But it feels good to have it done and organized once again! I can have it so organized and the way I want it, but with family you know how it is…no one puts things back where they are suppose to go! I’ve threatened everyone if they mess things up they have to deal with me! (They weren’t too scared! ) Big D got the paint brush out and did some touch ups around the house. And Bubba, well he FINALLY tackled his room which, well let’s just say I quit going in there!! After we finished up with the house stuff I prepared some chicken breast and veggies to grill for our dinner. Bubba has gotten to where he likes to be the Grill Master around here, so he took over. We had a really good dinner and after all the work we did, we deserved it!

When we were outside grilling I noticed how well some of my flowers were doing so I snapped a few photos to share. Here are a couple pots on our patio:

My rose bushes did not do very well this year, matter of fact, my yellow rose bush didn’t bloom at all. But this beauty made it’s appearance:
