I got a BIG surprise Friday! Big D called me while he was waiting at the airport in Texas to fly back home and informed me he was going to have to fly to New York City Monday on business. I started to sulk thinking how he’s only going to be home two days and then off again for four when he asked me if I’d like to tag along!! I said yes of course! He is leaving on Monday and I’m going to join him on Wednesday afternoon! We are taking an extra day just to do some sightseeing. I’m so excited! If you have been a reader here for awhile you know we had planned a trip to NYC for our anniversary last year, but we had to cancel because my dad had triple bypass. So even though this is a last minute trip, it will be lots of fun for this first timer in New York City. D will be working during the day, but I am not the type who is scared to hop in a taxi to see some sights on my own! So, who knows the adventures I’ll go on! We are also going to try *crossing fingers, toes, and everything else I can* to get tickets to the play “Wicked” while we are there. I know the chances of getting them so late are slim, but we will try!! I’ve been dying to see this play for years now, it would be a dream come true for me to see it on Broadway!! So maybe there is some magical Broadway fairy that will wave its magical wand and we’ll be able to get tickets! So if any of you have any suggestions of things for us to do or see in the city that never sleeps, we welcome them!
