Thursday Thirteen #64 – All Kinds of Random

tt_pink.jpg

1. First off, let me get this off my chest….Nothing is definite about our move to Texas, as of yet. SO….to that certain person who feels it is necessary to call family members and tell them what my family is doing as if you have an inside track to our family going’s on, let me set the record straight… Until all the t’s are crossed and i’s are dotted, nothing is definite so it’s best to mind your own business. Ok?

2. Ok, I feel better now….just aggravating to hear from family that someone that I haven’t even talked to in four or more years is calling family and telling them what we are doing like they know our business. It’s just a busy body who loves to be the center of attention. Why are people like that? Get a life! mad

3. Really, I do feel better now! mrgreen Guess who I had lunch with Tuesday? My buddy, Jane from CozyReader! Talk about fun! We always have fun when we lunch! Girl talk and food….what could be better? She is one dynamite gal!

Cozy with her yummy dessert!

4. I was a little late to our lunch, had a little “mishap” in our driveway. To tell you the truth, it’s one of those goofy things that you look at and say, “How on earth did I do that?” I was backing up from our long driveway when I heard a horrible sound. One of those, “UH OH” sounds. I looked and couldn’t figure out what was going on; till I looked to the side…I had gone off the driveway into the front lawn and run over a small boulder on the island. Thankfully, it was the SMALL boulder and not the HUGE boulder that would have demolished the vehicle. I couldn’t get the SUV back out…so I called Big D, he just laughed…thankfully, and then I just left the SUV there and took Miss Priss’s Jeep to meet Jane for lunch. While I was gone my knight in shining armor came and pulled the vehicle out of the yard. He said there is no damage that is noticeable, just some deep gashes in the brackets of the step rail on the underside. We all had a good laugh about it. I’m just wondering how many of my neighbors saw it?? mouthshut

5. Have you tried dark chocolate M & M’s yet?? OMG!!! I’m addicted! Little colorful orgasmic pleasures of the mouth! Really…it is!! embarrassed

6. Hubby is out of town, again….big meeting on Thursday, keep him in your prayers please.

7. Finally watched the movie Casino Royale, it was pretty good! There is a scene in it that I recognized the scenery…where Bond and a bad guy go running in a construction site….well it was filmed in Nassau, Bahamas’ where they were redoing an old Club Med. We were there just a few weeks after they filmed that part. It was neat to see it on the film. Though there will never be a James Bond that compares to Sean Connery if you ask me!

jamesbond.jpg

8. Barry Gibb was on American Idol this week….talk about making me feel old! Though he was looking pretty old himself! Man I loved the Bee Gees back in the day! I had flashbacks of roller skating to those songs…doing little dances on my skates…those were the days! Good memories!

9. Looks like snapdragons are going to pull through and make it after all!! After we had that surprise freeze the week after I planted all my flowers I was afraid none of them would make it. Some didn’t, worried but the snapdragons are looking pretty good, so I think, *fingers crossed* they will make it! It’s sad to see flowers die.

10. Make sure you visit This Eclectic Life this week…her TT is very interesting as she visited a haunted inn!! Do you believe in ghosts?

11. I had lunch at a supposedly haunted brewery in Savannah last year. It was featured on the show “Ghost Hunters” even. My girlfriend and I were brave and asked the owner if we could investigate the “haunted” areas, he let us go explore on our own. Big mistake in itself, never send two blonde chicks on a ghost hunt unsupervised! We never did find any ghosts, but my friend managed to scare the daylights out of me when she got me to look behind a curtain of a little room…..it was spooky down there, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it! But it was fun doing our own little ghost hunt. Would I do it again? Only with my friend! innocent

12. I’ve been making my own greeting cards lately…it’s fun, and it let’s my creative side have an outlet. Here are a few pictures of a couple of my cards I’ve made recently.

13.Just a couple more…..told you I was really into it… innocent

Your cards are lovely!

I liked the Bee Gees back in tha day, but I thought Gibb’s singing last night on the results show was worse than the first few rounds of the AI competition. Ick!

It’s hard to believe people like the one mentioned in your first couple of lines there do things like that! How frustrating!

Those cards are just gorgeous! I agree, girl talk and food are a winning combination!

Great TT my friend! I didn’t out you in my TT, I would never tell about your ‘little mishap’ in your driveway!!!
I hope the person mentioned in #1 reads your blog. It is amazing how some people think they can ‘share’ your business with anyone they want too!
I love your cards, as you know, and I recognize the last one. Lucky me, I get to keep it!!!
Have a super day. -)

Love your cards! I adored Daniel Craig as Bond…Mr. Connery WAS my fav til him -) I saw Barry Gibb, too, in passing (tv was on in the hotel room where I was visiting my cousin). Took me a minute to figure out who he was, but I thought he looks much nicer older!

May 10th, 2007 at 2:53 pm

I like Connery’s bond and Dalton for trying to play Bond as he is in the books. Moore lost the plot and I’m glad Brosnan had the sense to go before he went the same way with too much tongue in cheek. Craig seems to be going for the Bond with more of the book character again. I hope they give him the time to prove Bond played that way can work because Casino Royale was a great start.

How did I miss this last week? I don’t know what was in my head. This is a good TT! Consider me a friend and go on a ghost hunt with me some time. You will have a redhead to protect your blondness. I love the cards you made!
