1. I’ve been on my diet for a little over two weeks; I’ve lost 12 pounds so far!
Not too bad, huh? It’s amazing how your clothes start to feel even with that amount of weight loss.
2. Watched the movie “The Pursuit of Happyness” the other night. It’s awesome! If you haven’t seen this inspiring movie, put it on your must see list.
3. We finally got some rain to wash away the pollen that’s covered everything around here. Problem is, now the rain won’t go away!
4. We planted flowers on Saturday in pots, weatherman says a cold front is coming through this weekend. Figures! Big D is going to have to drag all those pots in the garage….he’s not going to be thrilled about that!
5. Went shopping Tuesday night with the hubby, sometimes he’s worse than I am! I went for one thing, a new blanket for our bed. This is what we left with: a blanket (it’s so soft!), new sheets – 500ct Egyptian cotton (so soft!), two pillows, new porcelain dishes for the dining room -service for 8, a really cool set of glasses – set of 24, new placemats for the kitchen table, and new drapes for the living room!!! Yeah, he’s a shop-a-holic too!! Oh but everything we bought was on sale!
6. I read a really sweet book called “Bewitching” by Jill Barnett. It’s different than a lot of books I read, but I found this book very enjoyable! If you like fairy tale romance with humor thrown in, you’ll like this one!

7. My heart just went pitter patter, Michael Buble is on American Idol!!!!!

8. Speaking of American Idol, are you as tired of Sanjaya as I am?
I wonder if he has a clue that he is a joke? He seems as clueless as does his family.
9. It also makes me mad that good singers are being sent home instead of Sanjaya….AI is a joke. Ok, enough of AI!!
10. I have found out that I love swordfish!! I’m eating lots of fish right now, staying away from beef, (it takes forever to leave your body, did you know that?) So I was getting tired of tilapia and cod, and was at O’Charley’s the other night and they had swordfish. It was delicious! I am trying to find new things to vary my diet, so as to keep it from getting boring! Boring makes you want to cheat!
11. We had to go and buy a deep freezer this past weekend. We have a side by side refrigerator, and the freezer is just not that big when you start putting all those packages from Costco in there! Oh yeah, Big D and Bubba went to CostCo and came home with a ton of food and paper products. Of course, no room at the inn!! So they ran to get a deep freeze…we’ve been wanting one for awhile anyway. Now you can open the freezer and find what you are looking for!! Woo Hoo!!
12. Unless plans change, Big D and I are planning on going to Chicago in May to celebrate the marriage of my cousin! They married at a surprise wedding on New Years Eve at a party at their home with close family and friends, no one knew about it except their pastor who was there. So they are having a marriage celebration this May for everyone who wasn’t there! I love this idea. Plus it’s a great excuse for D and me to take a mini vacation to my old stomping grounds!
13. And now that you are finished reading my 13, there is a website you have got to go check out, (well wait till you leave me a comment and then go check it out!
) it’s called “How It Should Have Ended” the co-creator, Tommy, of the website is someone I’ve known since he was a youngun’ (he’ll love that!) but I’m so proud of what he’s done! This site is awesome! You have got to check it out, its parodies of movies on how they should of ended, and they even won a Spike TV Award for best internet parody. Be sure to check out the comic section while you are there too…very funny!
Happy Thursday!!

Wow! 12 lbs! That is wonderful…and I’m jealous! And yes, I’m tired of Sanjaya…and regarding your comment…the dog had good insight! He didn’t have a good sense of humor and it was our last date!

Oh my, you certainly have been a busy bunny! Look at you Miss Thing….12 pounds!! Doing a happy dance for you. I love your random lists! Happy Easter.

I’m liking your new template! I haven’t been here for awhile so apologies if it’s not so new.
I stopped watching AI a few weeks ago. I just got bored with it all and especially because of the whole Sanjaya thing.

12 pounds in 2 weeks? Wow – congratulations!
I figure that there’s got to be a tipping point where Sanjaya has to go home. Hailey and Phil may go before him, but if he starts beating out the top contentders, I think Simon may intervene.

Rosie, you’ve been busy! Twelve pounds and a whole new blog look! You go, girl!

Your blog is so beautiful–really, really different. Did you design it? Enjoyed your post, too.

Congratulations on your diet. Wish I could be as determined as you. I’ll make it sure that I see that movie The Pursuit of Happyness.
My T13 is up too. If you have time, come and visit.

Is Sanjaya the one with the rather unusual hair?
My Thirteen is going to be up pretty late as I have to go do something for work today.

Losing 12 pounds is awesome! I’m putting the book on my reading list and the movie on my Netflix wishlist. Y’all shop like we do! The moral is: don’t go! Easier said than done.

Chicago?! MAY?!??! REALLY!??!?!
said:
Congrats on the weight loss. Husbands sometimes just play that they don’t shop, I think.

Great TT!! I’m tired of Sanjaya too. I love Michael Buble’ though and thought he did a great job. I love the story of your shopping “spree” with your hubby. Mine took me clothes shopping in December for a jacket and we came home with much more…HE, however, is not a shop-a-holic…just a bargain hunter.
