This is an antique milk bottle from Wanzer Dairy in Chicago. My grandfather started out with this dairy as a milk man back when they delivered milk by wagon, and he retired from there as the Branch Manager. My mom worked there also through the years as an executive assistant, before relocating to Texas. When my grandfather retired he made sure we all had a piece of Wanzer history. This bottle was from the year I was born. Pretty cool, huh?!
Happy Saturday!!

Okay, I really dread admitting this, but, I remember milk in a bottle being delivered to our front door. Way before plastic. I can remember when plastic “everything” came to be.
Does this mean I’m an antique??? Probably! LOL!

Unfortunately you don’t say how old it is ! Because such milkbottles are modern again, at least here in Belgium.

That is really neat that your grandfather made sure everyone got a piece of history. Very special that this one was made the year you were born.

The bottle is beautiful all by itself, but then you add in the personal association and it becomes something extra-special …

Ohhhhhh BOY! Do I remember those! Buy you know – we actually STILL HAD milk delivery IN BOTTLES, up until 1970! Thompson’s Dairy finally went out of business when I was about 13… and you know, that milk always tasted BETTER when it came in a glass bottle!
