In honor of Valentines Day, I’m posting my favorite love songs. I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines! I did, hubby presented me with a beautiful leather Coach handbag, he’s so great!! I’ll have to post a picture of it later, it’s that beautiful! 
Ok here’s my list of favorite love songs…..
1. “At Last” by Etta James, one of the best romantic songs of all times! This is mine and Big D’s song…we always has to dance when we hear it! I mean just look at these lyrics and tell me you wouldn’t melt if a man sweeps you in his arms when he hears this song!

2. “Endless Love” by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, this one is another favorite of ours as it was one of our wedding songs 23 years ago! My favorite line that says it all is this one:
My love, there’s only you in my life,
The only thing that’s right
3. “The Rose” by Bette Midler, one of my all time favorites!!! Love this song!
4. “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole, classic that is just unforgettable!!
5. “When You Love Someone” by Bryan Adams, beautiful song!
6. “When You Say You Love Me” by Josh Groban, now let me first say, I LOVE Josh Groban so pretty much anything by him I love!! But there are a few of his songs that just make me turn to Jell-O…this is one of them!
7. “Unchained Melody” by The Righteous Brothers, an oldie but certainly a romantic goodie!
8. “Open Arms” by Journey, loved this song when I was in high school, and I still love it today!
9. “Let’s Get It On” by Marvin Gaye, come on let’s be honest here….this is the ultimate song of no hidden agendas!! It does set a mood!!
10. Nothing Compares To You by Sinead O’Connor, great song, and I love her voice.
11. “Truly, Madly, Deeply” by Savage Garden, great song and its one group my kids like too! Matter of fact, they stole my CD. 
12. “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston, when Whitney was at her finest, before she was with her crack loving husband. Will she be able to get back to this caliber again? I would hope so.

great list! i did most romantic songs as my very first thursday thirteen ever. i actually had none of these songs up there, but i do like them all. “at last” is such a classic, and “when you love someone” gives me chills every time i hear it.

I have some special memories about Whitney Houston’s song I will always love you, but sad, sad ones – it was played the evening my dog died… *sobbing*
On #13 the abswer is yes. Mr L and I have one, but it’s Swedish and if I translate it the title is: “Hold My Heart…” Very very romantic with other words.

Great list of songs. I love Truly, Madly, Deeply. I wanted that to be the song for the first dance at our wedding, but my husband didn’t like the song. Instead we our first dance was to Shania Twain/Bryan White’s From this Moment.
