1. It’s been a busy week here….I’m exhausted already!! Can you say Caffeine please!! LOL
2. We leave early Friday morning for Texas for Big D’s company party. I have a ton to do before then. Why am I sitting here? This is where we will be staying, Gaylord Texan. Looks like a fun weekend!
3. The added bonus for us, we get to see family! They live within 20 minutes of the resort! How cool is that?!
4. The big Christmas party is on Saturday night. I am still a little worried about wearing heels, but I think I will be able to pull it off. My toes are feeling better everyday…but man, they sure do look bad! I guess I’ll have to resort to “Toe Makeup?!” 
5. A dear friend had surgery this week so I spent time at the hospital with her hubby. It’s amazing how tiring just waiting can be! Oh and my friend is doing great!! 
6. I went shopping today, spur of the moment, glad I did….bought two huge sacks of clothes for myself (indulged) and saved $135!! I love it when that happens!

8. I guess the freedom of blogging is at jeopardy here. Whatever happened to freedom of choice. I like music, thus the reason I have music on my blog. I also have it very plainly stated that you can hit the stop button if you don’t want to hear my music. But there is even a simpler solution….the mute button.
9. Blogging is a personal thing. Who you choose to visit is also a personal choice. My blog will not please everyone in the blogsphere. I will not even try.
10. There is plenty on blogs that do not appeal to me, but I either choose not to return, or to ignore it. It’s that person’s blog and it’s THEIR choice to do with it as they choose. I respect that.
11. Oh and the person who left the comment, (they didn’t leave their name), if you are going to insult me, at least spell my nickname correctly, its YellowRose! Thank you.
12. As for petitions against music on blogs and such, well whatever floats your boat. Me, I have much better things to do with my time….and some of it will include the music I love!

For the record, I love the music you currently have on your blog. That is SUCH a good album. And if I’m in a place where music on a blog would be a problem (like school) I use headphones or the mute button. Easy solution, right?

If you like music on your blog, I say stick with it. You’re right, each blog is personal and won’t appeal to everyone. If someone doesn’t like it, then can just move on to another blog.

There are two sides to that argument, just like there are at least two sides to any debate.
Firstus, it’s your site. It’s not necessarily written to please everyone else, or even anyone else.
Secondus, forcing users to download this or that plugin, or use one or the other tool, or view the content in a certain way, can be viewed as mildly inconsiderate. One of the reasons people love the internet is that it lets us be the ones to control how we receive and perceive the content, rather than passively listening to a radio (with its set playlist) or watching network TV (with its set schedule and showlist). Some people react very, very poorly when that control is challenged or subverted. Sure, the internet is about users having more control over how they take in content; but it’s also about the content creators presenting their content in ways they might otherwise be unable to do.
Each person has to make their own decisions about who they’re building their site for, and what they want to do with that site. But hey, that’s a choice that each site maker gets to make.

Well, I love the music you are playing on your site, although I don’t mute my speakers in general and it just played really loudly and now I can hear my kid stirring around.
But that really is my problem, not yours, although of course most of the time visitors to your site do not know that you have autoplay music.
The only thing I have against autoplay music is it tends to slow the way the site loads, and I have a fast internet connection. If I am not on the cable modem and on dialup, I can’t open sites with music on them at all.
But again, you are right. Your blog, your rules!
And congrats on getting the good deal on the clothes..I love when that happens.

You know I’m definitely with you on this one….I love music and usually always have some playing on my site. I’ve had nothing but positive comments from most of my visitors. It’s your site and you keep on doing what you’ve been doing. Your music choices have always been enjoyable to my mind.
