Dancing Queen…

ouch.jpg

What do you get when you wear heels and dance the night away? Three broken toes!! Yep, that’s how my evening ended Saturday night, somehow, someway I had one slick dancing move, that managed to break my second, third and fourth toes. But being the vain Diva I am, I smiled, finished dancing through the song and then calmly walked back to our table where I very quietly informed Big D that I thought my toes were broken!! We peeked under my gown and they were already turning black and blue! That killed my disco fever for the night. Thankfully, it was late in the evening and we were ready to call it a night anyhow.

And let me tell you, it was quite a night!! The Ritz-Carlton and hubby’s company sure do know how to put on one heck of a party! The decorations were gorgeous, the flowers were exquisite, everything was red and gold and sparkly! They also had a Martini/Champagne bar that was carved out of ice that was just gorgeous! Everyone looked so beautiful in their holiday finery. Here’s Big D and I before we left….

We had alot of fun, and I even got Big D to dance more than just a slow dance! I mean I really accomplished something there!! We fly out Friday morning to Texas for another Christmas party, but I think I’m going to have to stick with slow dances with this one….my toes are quite fragile at the moment! lol I’m just hoping I can wear my heels without too much pain! Right now the idea makes me cringe, plus they are black and blue…not so pretty!

Holiday’s are great excuse to splurge, aren’t they? Tonight I had one of my favorite Christmas time treats…..peppermint ice cream!!! Oh my!! I’m not a huge ice cream fan, but I love peppermint ice cream and I will splurge this time of year to get it! Bubba stopped at Brewster’s on his way home to get me some, he was feeling sorry for his momma and her toes. ) It’s so nice to be spoiled!!!

              What’s your favorite holiday treat?

Oh, and if you feel inclined, vote for my Christmas tree over here!!

Wow, you both look stunning. Hope you’re toes will heal right away so you can go dancing once again.

For me, my favorite holiday treat is when the entire family is together on Christmas Eve and they all sleep over and continue the celebration till Christmas day.

                Happy Holidays!

Ok Cinderella, I’ve never read anything in the story about breaking toes…I would have turned into a pumpkin long before getting my toes smashed.

Beautiful dress and dashing escort…That David cleans up nice.

I would so go for either a flats or a low heel but then I know you won’t….such a fashion hound!

Heal quickly and have a great time!

OOOOoooo! That’s painful, my dear! I have broken one toe at a time…and I know how that hurt…so to break three…That has to be pretty excrutiating!
Do take care and I hope you can wear your heels, too!
