1. My all time favorite Christmas movie is “It’s A Wonderful Life.” It’s tradition that we watch it as a family every Christmas Eve before we go to bed. Love this movie!
2. “Miracle of 34th Street”, on of the best classic holiday movies there is!
3. I don’t know if you’d call it a Christmas movie, but I think of it as a winter movie, “Narnia, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.” I could watch this movie over and over again! It’s magical!
4. “The Santa Clause” is one of our favorite family movies.
5. “The Santa Clause 2″ is also great! I haven’t seen SC3 yet…anyone have a review?
6. And what Christmas would be complete without a viewing of “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation!” Need a laugh, this is your movie!
7. We just saw this movie this past week, “Deck the Halls” and it is really cute! It will be one we add to our DVD collection of holiday movies!
8. “A Christmas Story” great movie! Best line…”You’ll shoot your eye out kid!”
9. “Elf” and being not a huge Will Farrell fan I have to say, I love this movie!!
10. “Christmas with the Kranks” Loved this movie too…have you noticed I love alot of these movies? LOL
11. “A Christmas Carol” starring Allistair Sims as Scrooge..this is the best version ever made!
12. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is one of those movies that just brings you back to feeling like a kid again.

Of your list I’ve only seen It’s a Wonderful Life and Narnia. I love both of those as well as George C. Scott’s Christmas Carol and White Christmas.

you know, we UVA grads have a story about the Grinch. We’re the Hoos down in Hooville (Suess’s daughter went to UVA) and the grinch is the guy who snubbed the city and built his house on the hill higher than the Rotunda.

Check out Home for the Holidays. It’s not as comical as, say “Christmas with the Kranks” (read the John Grisham short story upon which that movie is based – it’s a good one), but it definitely rings true.

Well you know my movie is on that list. Just a little bit of news for you, filming of Caspian starts in March and yes it is here in Auckland again.
Casting has short listed boys for Caspians role and he will be Meditterean looking.

Great list! Hubby loves Christmas Vacation. He has to watch the DVD at least 2 times every year to get in the Christmas spirit. It’s funnier now to watch him watch it because he still laughs out loud right through it!
I love A Christmas Story. We just saw Christmas with the Kranks this year and it was pretty good.

One new holiday movie tip for you ~ just saw The Holidays this weekend with Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black. Really enjoyed it!
