Thursday Thirteen #39 - Random Ramblings

    1. Being sick sucks! ( Just wanted to get that out of the way right off the bat! )

      2. I totally forgot that yesterday was Wordless Wednesday…I think it’s one of the first I have missed in ages! Told ya, being sick stinks! I am blaming being sick, because I am most certainly not blaming it on my age! )

        3. Miss Priss is enjoying her new Jeep! She’s been driving all around town in it. Her brother likes it too….he snuck the keys this morning while she was sleeping so he could drive it before he left for work. Guess I’m going to have to take it out for a spin myself to see if it’s as much fun to drive as it is cute!

          jeep.jpg
In case you missed the picture in the post below…here it is!

            4. I’ve watched alot of movies the last few weeks and one of my new favorites is “The Lake House!” If you haven’t seen this movie, rent it!! It is amazing! And yes, have Kleenex on hand!

              lakehouse.jpg

                5. I have finally finished the baby afghan I was working on for my cousin. It turned out rather nice, if I say so myself! It will keep the baby nice and warm in those cold Chicago winters!

                  baby.jpg

                    6. I’ve become hooked ) on crocheting! I have crocheted several really neat scarves for me and Miss Priss, and I’m working on a hat for her now. My next project is a shawl for myself. It’s such a relaxing hobby. Keeps my fingers busy!

                      scarf.jpg
Miss Priss modeling one of the scarves!

                        7. Our house was spooked by the neighborhood ghost again last Sunday. The doorbell rang and when we answered there was no one there, just a neat Halloween bag filled with candy and pumpkin candles, napkins, etc, all kinds of goodies! In return, we fixed two baskets and had to find two houses that had not been visited yet. We had fun making the baskets, I just wish I had taken a picture of them, they turned out really cute! This neighborhood does some really neat things. Makes it a nice place to live.

                          8. Miss Priss and I watched the movie “Poseidon” Wednesday….we wouldn’t watch it when it came out since we knew were going on a cruise. Since that’s said and done, we decided to watch it now. Will I go on another cruise after watching it? You Betcha!! The movie wasn’t very good, if you ask me. And one thing I’d like to point out that bugged me in the movie, they showed one of the characters using his cell phone on the ship while at sea….sorry, not happening, no cell service at sea.

A Real Sinker if you ask me!

                              9. Anyone else hooked on the show Heroes?” I am! I love this show. Hiro is my favorite character! He’s awesome!!

                                10. We had to turn our heat on at the house, something I delay as much as possible, but it got cold here the other night, freezing to be exact. I have a feeling this is going to be a COLD winter!! I love it…sweaters, fuzzy socks, curling up with a blanket and a hot cup of coffee, oh yeah!

                                  11. I love the scents of this time of year. And speaking of scents, I have got to get to Bath and Bodyworks to get my Warm Vanilla Sugar shower gel, salt scrub and silk lotion. That stuff is the best! Perfect for this time of the year and it smells so yummy! What’s your favorite scent for this time of year?

                                    12. My birthday is coming up in less than a month. I’m working on my wish list for the hubby! ) I’ve got a few ideas already! Hope he’s ready! Hee hee!

                                      13. I made it to 13! Whew!! Happy Thursday!!

So, now Miss Priss can wave to the other Jeep owners with her new pretty scarves…? *lol*

That is a lovely afghan. I wish I could do the same but am not good at it. Cross stitching is my forte. The scarf is beautiful too especially when someone that pretty is putting it on.
                                          Mine is up too.

Great job on the crocheting! I’ve never been able to get past the simple stitch on that one. I’d love to know how to do more (and knit, too).

I hope you start feeling better soon! Take care!

Great 13 list. The Jeep Wrangler is awesome. One of our friends had one, and when he went back to Washington for 2 years, he left it for us to use. My kids loved it.
When he came back and got the jeep back, he totalled it out! We took good care of it while he was gone. He was drunk one day going home after a golf game and lost control of it. Now he has a Subaru Brat.
                                          My TT is up.

Sweet Jeep! Yes there’s a club. I’ve always wanted to join it - but haven’t - yet.

It’s one of the new things needed before becoming an A-Team Cruiser. More can follow later, we haven’t decided what and when yet…

                                          What an A-Team Cruiser is

#7 is such a great idea!

                                          I always love your TTs.

I’ve been wanting to watch The Lake House but I’ve heard mixed reviews about it. I love Keanu!

Oh dear you’re sick again! Weren’t you sick before the cruise? Better start takin’ those vitamins darling and getting out for some fresh air walks!

I’ll have to check out the Lake House. I was wondering about if it was good. Thanks for the tip!

I crochet and knit as well. I only knit simple things (not sweaters) but simple dressy scarves using the big huge needles and the really thin thread. I guess I should post a picture some day of the scarves I’ve made. Actually I have some more wool/thread so I should start another. No time really though. After work, blogging takes up all my time….;)

We just watched The Lake House, too, and I enjoyed it–though it was very sappy and sentimental, I thought it was carried off nicely. Thanks for visiting my TT!
