1. Ever since we got back from Nashville I have had a hard time getting back into the swing of blogging. I think it’s because I got sick when we got home. Thankfully I’m feeling better! Blogging should be back to normal!
2. I have been working on a baby afghan for my cousin. Or shall I say I am now working on another afghan! I decided I didn’t care for the first one so much, so I went and bought more yarn and started another pattern last night. This one I like much better. Big D just shook his head, he just doesn’t understand! LOL I’ll post a picture when I get it done!
3. I am really excited about a new program our church is starting. It’s a youth outreach program and it’s something that is near and dear to my heart. I was asked today to be in charge of Public Relations. I’m psyched about that, it’s my kind of thing!
4. It’s been awhile since I have felt this pumped up about something. It feels good. I worked with youth years ago and loved it. This is more than just preparing a lesson. This program is about ministering to the whole body, life preparation. It’s going to be huge. I can’t wait to see what God has in store!
5. My MIL isn’t doing so well, she hasn’t been doing well for awhile now. She goes in for a brain scan on Thursday (a week from today). If you would, keep her in your prayers.
6. It is exactly 30 day’s till our cruise! I can’t wait! Woo Hoo!
7. Lots of you asked what this flower was from Wordless Wednesday…

It’s a Mandevilla, the photo was taken in Helen, Georgia
8. I am so ready for Fall! The colors, the cooler weather, the crisp air! It’s my favorite season. This summer has been blah…too hot, too long and I’m ready to see it end.
9. We are still looking at cars. It’s not easy to find the “perfect” one. I am picky. Who’d have guessed?
10. I’ve become a total nerd. Yes, I admit it. I am addicted to the BBC series, Dr. Who. I’m viewing the whole first season right now on dvd…it’s awesome!! Season two begins Sept. 29th! Yeah, I told you I’m a nerd!

11. One of the best movies of the 80′s is “Pretty in Pink!” I bought the “Everything is Duckie Edition” from Amazon. I can’t wait to watch it, the music, the styles, the actors…oh the memories!!
Here’s one of Duckie’s (my favorite, by the way) great lines:
We don’t have none of this stuff in the boy’s room! Wait a minute! We don’t got none of this… we don’t got doors on the stalls in the boy’s room, we don’t have, what is this? What’s this? We don’t have a candy machine in the boy’s room!
12. I also bought “Sixteen Candles” this is another great one from the 80′s!
One of the funniest lines: Can I borrow your underpants for 10 minutes?
Love this movie!!
13. Ahh, finally 13! Had trouble with getting there this week, but looks like I did it after all! Woo Hoo! Hey, that’s two Woo Hoo’s in one post! Cool!
(Actually 3 now. LOL)

I think my heart swelled three sizes larger when I read your thoughts on “Pretty in Pink” and “Sixteen Candles!”
Swelled.
I loved it in PIP, when Iona says:
“I know I’m old enough to be his mother, but when the Duck laid that kiss on me last night, I swear my thighs just went up in flames! He must practice on melons or something.”

Rose, actually Dr. Who has been around for a long time. I can remember watching it twentytwo years ago when I still lived in Miami. What you are watching is the latest in a long line of Dr. Whos.
