What a weekend! We kept busy. Friday spent the day shopping, my favorite past time of course. I did manage to find a beautiful outfit after much searching. We hit every store, Macy’s, Dillards, Bloomingdales and I finally found something I loved at Nordstrom’s. Big D was quite glad at that point.
After a little more shopping, we finally left the mall after four hours! At least I got a lot of my steps in on my pedometer!
Saturday was the wedding, held at a beautiful hotel. It was to be a garden wedding, but unfortunately it was a rainy day and they had to change their plans. They moved it to one of the ballrooms and it was still very beautiful.

Posing before leaving for the wedding, we clean up pretty good, don’t we?
The bride and groom looked so young, but they were both 26, I guess I’m just getting old! The brides dress looked like a princess gown, which was the effect I believe she was going for as she walked down the aisle to the music of “Beauty & the Beast.”
One of the touching moments of the evening was the father of the bride who had had a stroke months ago getting up from his wheelchair and walking his daughter the final four steps to the front. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place. Also at the reception, he had his Father-Daughter dance with her dancing to their favorite song. It was beautiful! Those will be precious memories!
It was a fun night. Met quite a few of my husbands employees. It’s nice to put faces with names.
We headed home and got stuck in the famous Atlanta traffic!! Took us over an hour and forty-five minute instead of the thirty minutes to get home. UGH!! I love this area, more than anyplace I have lived. But the traffic is a nightmare at times.
Sunday we went to church, out to lunch with our friends that we haven’t seen in two weeks! Had alot of catching up to do so we sat and visited for awhile. Left the restaurant and headed to Garden Ridge, I needed to buy some greenery for some decorating I wanted to do in the living room. Found a few “other” things also. We left there and we were scheduled for our weigh-in at Jenny Craig, but when we got there our counselor told us she was running very late. Well, we had so much to get done we told her to reschedule us. Plus it’s the second Sunday in a row she’s been running late and done this to us. I hate sitting there waiting for 30-45 minutes, especially when I have so much to do!
What do I have to do you ask? Well, let me tell you! My in-laws will be here on Tuesday and will be with us for over two weeks. I have a ton to do! lol Actually yesterday I re-potted flowers in all nines pots outside. The heat did a number on my spring flowers, so now I have beautiful new flowers. My back is killing me from bending over them but they look good!
Now I’m working on the inside, it’s the in-laws so you know EVERYTHING has to be spic and span! Every nook and cranny! I’m pretty OCD about my house anyhow, so you can imagine what I’m like when company comes. My family goes into extreme clean mode. It’s like one of those Extreme Reality Shows and I’m the hyper, bossy, yelling host!
SO……I shouldn’t even be sitting here typing this update, I should be cleaning and being bossy! But you know, I have this blogging addiction! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Pass me my dusting cloth, I’m ready now!
P.S. I did get in trouble for posting my Photo Hunt picture of Miss Priss! She saw it last night and I heard a scream from upstairs…..I knew right away she visited my blog! I have orders not to post pictures of that nature again! LOL Yeah right!

Sounded like a really wonderful wedding. Very touching.
