Saturday we spent the afternoon working in our yard, trimming bushes, cutting down old dead flowers, etc. It was a HOT day but we got a lot of work done before the much needed rain came!! Now with our family we make everything fun, even if it’s working in the yard. But what happened yesterday was just hilarious!
Big D had trimmed some of the bushes by our front door, they go rather deep so he started to rake up the cut foliage. I was on the other side cutting other bushes when I hear, “HELP! Come here, hurry!” So I drop everything and go running, thinking he’s really hurt!
What I see is this…..

Had to do some cover up, he didn’t fall down gracefully!
I have never laughed so hard in my life!! I couldn’t pull him out, of course because I was laughing too hard. So I call for Bubba, but before I let him pull Big D out, I grabbed my camera! I was not going to let this prime opportunity to pass me by!! No sir! We all had a huge laugh, and Big D being the great sport he is, laughed right along with us. After I took the picture I told him he knew where that picture will end up didn’t he, and he said he knew. The blog it was, the blog it shall be!
Never a dull moment at the Garden!

LOL! Poor guy! I always have those split second moments when my little one gets in a precarious position that I think about grabbing the camera. But the mom who doesn’t want her child to be too traumatized always wins out…lol!

That is hysterical! Tell Big D we are all thankful for your ‘cover up’ work!

OMG….I’m dying here. Well, I mean, I can laugh really hard about it because he is ok, but that was classic. Good think you got your camera in time.

Is it okay that I laughed at him?? I hope so…because I did!

My hubby would kill me if I took a picture of him like that and put it on my blog! I’m glad yours has more of a sense of humor, so we can all have a good laugh at him! Glad he’s alright.

I have to agree with Susie..My husband would have killed me!! But you must have a very good guy or should I say a good sport for a husband. Mine would have had a fit if I would have put that on my blog. I am sure that was very very funny. Isn’t it odd how we laugh at people when they might be hurt!! But dog gone…it is SOOOO Funny!!

I really laughed at the hexagon cover up! Nearly every pic I take of mr. kenju in shorts ends up that way. I have to crop the photos!

Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!! You bad girl…I would have so done the same thing. Tell Big D I see he “really throws himself into his work.”

Your husband is really a nice guy to be posted for us to get a snicker at his misfortune! Oh my gosh I would have done the same thing with my hubby…
Take care,

Poor Big D. Hearing you talk about hurrying to get the camera instead of helping him, reminds me of when Football Star started pulling himself up. This one time he pulled himself up with the trash can and it didn’t hold him like he thought and he fell and the trash fell ALL over him. Instead of what a good mom would do, hurry and get him, I ran for the camera and took a picture! LOL!
Love ya!
