OOPS! I read something wrong at “The Hub” and I added the week of the TT as #48 to my title, it is actually my 24th TT! Sorry to confuse!!
1. It’s Thursday already? Where does the week go? The older I get the faster time seems to fly by….if I could have one wish it would be to slow time! Want to thank everyone who came by here last week. It was an honor to be the featured blog at the Hub! I love the work that Leanne and the others have done over there, kudos to you all!!
2. Miss Priss called from Myrtle Beach, she is there with friends from church, she was stung by a jellyfish in the afternoon. I had been stung by a jellyfish severely when I was a teenager so I was worried she’d get sick, but she said the lifeguard was spraying Windex on the stings. The ammonia takes the sting and poison out. Plus she’s sunburned, other than that she’s having a great time.
3. Our trip to Chattanooga this past weekend included a trip to the Chattanooga Choo Choo. I remembered going there when I was younger and eating in a big restaurant that served you family style. It was the first time I had ever had corn fritters. So I wanted to repeat this memory, well it’s not the same. They changed everything up and the restaurant is different! But they still had corn fritters, and they weren’t too bad. Sometimes memories should be left as memories.

It’s a hotel and restaurants with shops now; it is a neat place to check out if you are in town.
4. It’s been storming here, which is good in one hand and bad in another. Great for my yard and flowers, but a killer on my head! When it storms it triggers my migraines and boy have they been triggered!
5. Did you watch fireworks on the 4th? We actually saw them on the 3rd, that’s when our town had their fireworks show. We parked ourselves on our front lawn and watched the show; it has its benefits having your house on top of a hill, no crowds, no traffic!! Loved it!
6. I’m sitting in bed right now typing this list, Big D is down stairs and I hear him…now he tells me all the time how he doesn’t like Rocky (my cat) and he acts all tough…but I just heard him talking to her all sweet like. I know he loves her; he just doesn’t want to ruin his tough guy image! Men!

7. Speaking about pets, Leanne lost her dear Chloe this week. Be sure to send her some love.
8. While you are sending some love out, be sure to visit Jennifer and check out her new ride she just won!! Yep, you read that right, she won a car!!

Are planning to go see “Pirates of the Caribbean – Dead Man’s Chest” Friday night? We are!! Already bought our tickets online! I have a double date, of sorts….my two favorite men will escort me to this movie, Big D and Bubba! I’m one lucky gal!

I love them and they were everywhere up on the mountain! So you can imagine me, I was snapping pictures left and right, others are taking pictures of the view, me I’m bent over a flower. LOL

I love this picture, pure relaxation. She was chillin’ on a horse drawn buggy outside the Chattanooga Choo Choo. The driver said she is getting a little too old to go out with her, but she seemed to want to go with her that day, so she let her. I loved her eyes. We had a Dalmatian named Dotty (I know real original) when the kids were younger, she had the liver colored spots, and she was a cutie. But boy she was a hand full. She went to a family who lived on a huge place out of the city. I knew she’d love it there.

I’ve not been to Chatanooga. I live here in TN. My daughter got stung by a jellyfish, and it got infected. We were at Myrtly beach when it happened. It was awful!

Men and cats, eh? I agree with you: stroking a cat is not the same as taking a big, rabid Rottweiler for a walk, it’s much less overtly macho.

I’m looking forward to the Pirates film too, but will have to sort out babysitters, & a spare Wednesday (do you get orange wednesdays there? 2 tickets for the price of 1, yay!)

I’m always looking at stuff through the camera lens. I watched 90% of the fireworks on the 4th through the camera. I think any pictures people have of me is with a camera to my face. I look better like that anyways.

I have been stung alot by jellyfish in my youth, maybe why I don’t like the water! Your randomness was a pleasure to read.

Great TT as always! Did you know that vinegar helps the stings too? I got stung once by it, but they were something that my cousins and I used to hold and play with. We never got stung by those before. Only when I got older.

I don’t really know about that slowing time thing. I’m not so keen about it. Maybe if I’m expecting something, I would time to be faster but if not, then I want time and days to be just as it is. Love the stone bridge and and the dog under the blanket.

Your photos are gorgeous. We’ve been hoping on a short mini trip to Tennessee sometime and Chatanooga would be the first stop on our drive. I know exactly what you mean – where did the week go? Great pics. LOL on the husband and cat. Mine does the same thing. I hear, I hate your cat, and the next min. it’s Who’s a good kitty? My husband doesn’t want to see POTC, so I’m taking my oldest daughter. I’m so jealous Stargazers are my absolute favorite flower, gorgeous pic. As for fireworks, me and the kids watched them from the pool.

Weeks do fly by faster each year. I am on vacation this week and it is flying right on past me… So much to do. We are going camping this weekend …We will be tubing down the river so hopefully I will get some relaxing done there…
Ouch about the jellyfish. Luckily I have not been stung.. Lil one has though …We always use meat tenderizer.. never heard of Windex.. I will have to remember that.

We did the Chattanooga Choo-Choo years ago…haven’t ever stopped again. Everytime I drive up north though, I think about it…especially about taking the kids to see Ruby Falls.
I have lived in FL all my life and been around jellyfish and I have NEVER heard of putting Windex on them!! I’ll store that one away in my bank of remedies.

Wow, that’s interesting that the Windex helped with the jellyfish sting. It made me think of the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding and how the dad insisted that Windex could heal any kind of wound! I hope that Miss Priss feels better soon.
