1. First off, I’m doing my 13 from the luxury of my bed. No, not because I am a lady of leisure and I lay around eating bon bons all day. But because I have done something to my back and I can hardly walk. What I have done, I haven’t a clue! I tried to get out of bed Wednesday morning and couldn’t. From there it just got worse, so I am doing the ice and heat thing, plus I have some muscle relaxers and pain meds which have come in handy seeing I see stars when I try to move. If it isn’t better in a day or two I guess I’ll have to break down and see the doctor. But for now, I’ll prop myself up in my bed with many pillows (I’m a pillow queen!) and take advantage of my daughters laptop! Boy I’m glad we bought her this for graduation!! lol

2. Speaking of Miss Priss, her 18th birthday is next week….I can’t believe it, my baby will be a legal adult! I don’t have kids anymore. It’s starting to hit me! Oh sure there is lots of advantages to having older kids, we now have more freedom to do things such as travel, we aren’t tied down to school schedules, plus they are great company! But I have noticed that there is a down side too, they don’t need you as much….and that one is hard to take. Even if it’s for the little things, it’s just hard to realize that they don’t need mom to aid them. On the other hand I should be very proud; it proves we’ve done a great job in raising them because they are self sufficient.

3. I have fallen’ in love, with a dog that is. Let me explain, I saw a commercial, one for depression and in this commercial is the most beautiful dog! I didn’t know what kind it was, and no one I asked did either, so I finally found out on the web..it’s a Weimaraner. Beautiful dogs! Anyone own one, or know anything about them? I really would love to know more about them.

Beautiful aren’t they? Now that my kids are grown up, I guess I need a dog to take care of, huh? lol

4. I’m in need of a haircut, but I am leery of going back to the gal I have been going to for over a year. Last time I went to her she didn’t do such a hot job on my hair and I still have to deal with the effects of it, thus the reason I really need to get it fixed now. Hair….it’s such a pain really..isn’t it? We have to cut it, color it, perm it, straighten it, so many things we have to do it just to be happy with it. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all were bald? Well, then again, maybe not!

5. You are going to love this….I saw a hairstyle I loved while watching “Charmed” the other night. It was one I had DVR’ed so I could pause it. So I tried to think of how I could describe the style to the hairstylist when it hit me….take a picture! Yep, I took several different shots of the gal’s hair on the TV with my camera, and I’m printing them out to show the stylist. I’m so smart, aren’t I?

6. Miss Priss has been away working as a counselor at church camp this week. I miss her. She’s called a few times, she said that all was going great, she’s just not getting much sleep. What did she expect with a cabin of 13 year old girls? lol

7. I remember going to church camp….my last time at camp was with Big D. We were “the couple” at camp that summer. He told me he loved the last night of camp. We had only known each other a couple weeks by then. He worked fast, didn’t he?

8. I’ve been watching the show “America’s Got Talent” as I type my list, and let me just say, America doesn’t have much talent if this show is the example. Sick, just sick. Not even amusing. Oh and David Hasselhoff, he’s a freak. lol

9. I finally watched King Kong the other night….it was pretty good. At first it started out slow, and I almost turned it off, but I’m glad I stuck it out it’s a good film. Good summer flick.

10. I also watched Nanny McPhee. (Can you tell I’m bored?) This was a really cute movie! I loved it! It has a wonderful storyline and Emma Thompson is great as Nanny McPhee. She not only stars in it but she wrote the screenplay also!

11. I’ve been reading a really good series of books lately by Janet Evanovich, the Stephanie Plum series. I love them! I’m on book eight right now. These are some of the funniest books I have ever read! Matter of fact, I have burst out laughing while reading in bed and Big D will roll over and tell me to quiet down! Now that is some pretty funny reading! You want something fun to read this summer, these are your books!
