So let me give you a brief recap of Graduation! Big brother decided that he wanted to give his present to Miss Priss on Friday night, which of course she had no arguments with that!
He’s a pretty awesome big brother, he bought her a flat screen HDTV for her room! As you can tell from the picture she is excited!!
Saturday morning we went ahead gave her our present to her…..
A Dell laptop computer with so many bells and whistles that I am jealous! Her first words were, “YEAH no more fighting with mom for the computer!!” Um, I have no idea what she means.
It hit me that afternoon that my baby was graduating, and as we were going to get a bite to eat, I just started tearing up. You know, one of those crying jags that you have no control over and can’t stop!! I couldn’t believe it hit me like that, but after a few minutes, I was fine once again and all was well with the world. I just didn’t expect it to hit me out of the blue like that! lol
The ceremony was very nice, with a class of almost 700 we were afraid we would be there for hours! But they tapered the service down so it only lasted just over two hours. Not too bad! No one tripped across the stage…Miss Priss was worried about that. She was so cute when she crossed the stage and was walking back to her seat she looked up to us and raised her hand and gave us the peace sign with a huge smile on her face! This is her signature wave, she does it all the time! Oh and she text messaged us during the ceremony….yep that’s my kid! The funniest one was when she got off stage and her dad sent her one that said, “Is the diploma in there?” and she replied, “OH NO! it’s not!” lol She knew that she had to pick it up in after the ceremony. Always the joker!
Afterwards we took lots of pictures on the “green” and this one is probably my favorite! My babies are all grown up. I look at them and I feel so very proud!
It was a great week! I have alot to blog about, pictures to post and your blogs to visit! So it’s catch up time!
