Hi from Texas! Thank you for all the sweet, kind words of condolences and encouragement. You all are so wonderful! The last few days have been hard, but in a way they were a relief to us because we knew he was no longer in any pain. The family was together and we had a wonderful time reminiscing about what a joker he was and all the pranks he pulled on everyone of us at one time or another. So there was a lot of sharing and laughter going on, which would be what he would have wanted!

Big D and I are visiting with family in Dallas today and will be heading back home tomorrow. I’ll post more after I get home and on my computer that isn’t so old!

Once again, I just want to say thanks for all the comments you have left, it was very touching to both Big D and myself to read them. You all are great!

Catch you when I get back to Georgia!

No Thursday Thirteen for me this week. I’m catching a plane early in the morning for Texas, we have had a death in our family. Big D’s uncle passed away this morning from a brain tumor. It was something we have been expecting, but it’s still very hard. He was a great guy and he loved to laugh and boy he loved to tease me! He’ll be greatly missed. One thing that is reassuring for us is we know that he is no longer in pain and he’s gone home, resting comfortably in his Father’s arms.
