Thirteen Things That Pop Into My Head

      1. I planted 8 large pots of flowers on Tuesday, and I can hardly move now…talk about being out of shape! But my flowers are pretty!

Just 2 of the 8 pots I planted!
        2. Did you notice that today is April 13th so today’s Thursday Thirteen is on the 13th! Sweet!
          3. My favorite aunt is coming to town next week on business and will be spending the night with me! I’m so excited, we haven’t had many visitors since we moved, it’ll be really nice to see family!
            4. Miss Priss got her graduation announcements today, everything looks so nice, except they misspelled our city on the return address labels….funny since the company is based here! I will be calling them to send me replacements.
              5. Speaking of Miss Priss, she has decided that she is not going to her Senior prom. It is not because she didn’t have a date, it is because she really has no desire to go and she says she doesn’t feel like it’s something she’d enjoy. I’m hoping she will not regret her decision. I’m wishing she’d go…I am missing out of the fun of shopping with her for the dress and shoes, geez!! LOL
                6. We are planning a mini vacation for this summer after Miss Priss’s graduation….any thoughts of where to go? Someplace fun for the four of us…remember my kids are 21 and 18!
                  7. Did anyone else watch the mini series of “The Ten Commandments” on Monday and Tuesday night? Did you find it awfully bloody? I think I prefer the Charlton Heston, Hollywood edition. I love to hear him ol’ Heston as Moses say, “Let my people go!”

                      8. Do you watch “The Amazing Race?” If you don’t, then you won’t know what I’m talking about…if you do, read on…my favorite team is the hippies, BJ and Tyler, I love these two! Boy I thought they were goners last night, but thank the Greek Gods (they were in Greece and Rome), they were not out!! I was so happy to see Lake and Michelle leave, especially after he called her a $&tch! Let me tell you if that were me, he’d been on the ground! They were a train wreck! Adios!
                        9. I’m reading “The Mermaid Chair” by Sue Monk Kidd, I’m about half way through it and it’s really good. I read her “The Secret Life of Bees” before this one and I highly recommend it! They are both great reads for summer!
                          10. I have two more books on my waiting to be read list….”Mirror, Mirror” and “Lost” by Greogory Mcguire. I really like his writing. He wrote “Wicked, The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of The West(also a Broadway play!) , “Son of a Witch” and “Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister” all really good books.
                            11. Saturday is going to be a great day….why you ask? Because if plans go as we hope, I will be meeting a very special friend…Lazy Daisy!! Can’t wait!
                              12. Leanne has done an outstanding job with the Thursday Thirteen site! If you haven’t checked it out yet, do so! There’s even TT Official gear…t-shirts, hats, mugs, so cool! And if you haven’t noticed, look over to the right and see how neat my blogroll looks over there, that’s thanks to Leanne and her handy little java script! She’s the bomb! )
                                13. And finally I am at 13…so I will leave you with this:

I have seen Ten Commandments since I was a kid. It’s still coming out with different versions but I don’t get tired of watching it.
My 2nd Thursday Thirteen will be up in a while. Just visiting blog friends first.

I loved reading this 13. Your #10 is similar to my whole T13 this week – all about some of the books that fill up my bookshelf and I haven’t read yet.

                                              Happy Easter.

My dear sweet Yellowrose…The columns are all over the place today…BUT, I was able to read enough to fill in the letters I couldn’t see…I’m getting kind of good at this! I hope you have a wonderful visit with Lazy Daisy. That is very exciting to be getting together with her..
And a Very Very Happy Easter to you and yours, my dear.

for some reason I had the ww picture and a blogrll in the middle of your TT so I culdnt read it all might be something to do with firefox not accepting some IE java code youre using in your post

not all scripts are friendly with all browsers (

I didn’t want to go to my prom either, but I made myself go and now I’m so glad I did. It wasn’t spectacular, but at least I can say that I went.
I hear Panama City Beach in Florida is nice….
I watched the first night of The Ten Commandments, but I fell asleep during the second night, not because it wasn’t good, I was just exhausted.
I think it’s cool that you are going to get to meet Lazy Daisy!
I love your blog header and the cute picture of the bunny and chick.
Have a blessed and happy Easter.
                                              My TT is up.

Great list! As for the senior prom. I went with a group of friends. We did a group picture- and did our senior walk, then headed out for all night fun! Bowling, McDonald’s, movies, etc, etc. It was a blast! Maybe she’ll do something like that– made it more memorable for us. )

Great list. I didn’t get to see the 10 Commandments Mini-Series. I wish I had. I did love the Cecil D Mille version. As to where to go for the post grad. trip, I loved visiting the SD and WY with the Black Hills, also Yellowstone National looks great, but that is if they are into the mtns. Hope you find something great!

Great thirteen! I wasn’t allowed to dance back when I was in high school and so I didn’t go to my prom and honestly? It’s not something that I look back on with regret, so hopefully it will be the same for Miss Priss )

I love it when they wear the “Bowling Moms” t-shirts. How funny. Speaking of moms, my mom is so excited to meet you, too! You guys have fun!

Mini-vacation, eh? I don’t know if ya’ll are wanting to relax or par-tay, but I suggest Sanibel Island off the coast of Florida. It’s the bomb! lol Seriously, it’s just beautiful, sort of secluded but plenty for older kids to do. *grin*

I read The Secret Life of Bees and really enjoyed it. I’ll have to look into The Mermaid Chair. I only watched 1/2 of The 10 Commandments. I missed the rest on Tuesday night. What I did see of it was okay. Have a Happy Easter! Nice list by the way.

I wanted to see The Ten Commandments, but something came up. Your summer read books look interesting. Happy Easter. )

The flowers look beautiful, they are well worth the aches and pain. After my first day working the garden, I can hardly get out of bed the next morning LOL

I hope your daughter doesn’t regret going to the prom either. Although…we had more fun riding in the limo than at the actual prom. My class was realllllly cliquey and it was just not fun.

I didn’t think there was anyone who would get as tired as I do somtimes from being way out of shape. After a summer of this and that perhaps I will be a bit more fit.

Happy Easter to you, too. If you meet Lazy Daisy, give her a hug from Shelli of Shelli’s Sentiments. Tell it is from Mad Dog. ) Wish I could be there, too.

Isn’t graduation bittersweet. You want to cry and smile at the same time. Good luck to her. I think she should go to her prom, too. She may regret it if she doesn’t.
