Update from Texas
Hi everyone….Yep I’m still in Texas, and will be for another four days. Dad is doing well, just having trouble with his oxygen levels so they are keeping him on that 24/7 right now. He was able to go home today. That has been a relief for us, but I think a huge concern for him. He seems very nervous about having to have the oxygen with him and he’s very emotional one minute and then irritated the next. We’ve been forewarned that his emotions would really wreck havoc after the surgery and we are starting to see that. Pray for us!
I decided to extend my stay when he asked me too. When your daddy asks for you to stay till he comes home and to be with him for a few days, you do it.
Sleep has been deprived…I’m hoping we can get a little caught up now that he is home. It’s starting to catch up on me and I’m feeling it. I’m going to need a week to recoup once I get home!!
I can’t tell you all how much it’s meant to me to pop in and see all the comments and emails from you all. Though I haven’t been able to respond as I normally would please know I have read each and every one and they mean so much to me and my family. I have shared your words with them and they just can’t believe the connection us “bloggers” have!! I’ll try to check in daily, but this computer is about as stubborn as a mule. I’ll be home on Thursday if all goes well and thanks for all your prayers and well wishes once again! You all are wonderful!!!!!!!!

So glad to know your Dad is doing so well…from everyone I’ve known who has had open heart surgey, they can get very very depresed and also, as ou said, irritible to very Angry, too…If you think about it, their hearts have been tampered with…(I know it is very their good..but…) So that is a big BIG thing…my brother just said something tomme today on the phone about his Heart Doctor having held his heart in hiosx hands!!! That’s all pretty traumatic, though very life saving…
I think it’s so very wonderful of you to stay on, especially since your Dad asked you to…Hope you get some real rest, Sherry…

My Best To ALL your Family and Hugs, Too!

Glad your dad is doing better. That thing about the emotions is so true. My FIL had open heart surgery twice and afterwards he was so emotional that he would cry at the drop of a hat.
Take care of yourself. Nap when he does. It is very tiring to care for someone when they are sick.
Your dad is fortunte to have a loving daughter.
May God grant your dad healing and peace and may He give you rest and renewal.

Prayers for Daddy and you and your family!
Take care of yourself…you won’t be any good to him if you’re sick, too.
        Keep us informed.
        Prayers!

What a good daughter you are and how fortunate your dad is to have such kind loving care from his family. Stay well my friend, stay strong…you can ease up once you’re at your own home!

You are prayed up for the day and for the week!

Just found your blog. Touched by the ‘when your daddy asks you…’ bit.

        So true.

        Another prayer for you…
