American Idol that is! So did you watch it? My favorite part of the show is the tryouts…I love them! The good, the bad and the ugly! Oh my!!! They had something from every category, believe me! From the talented to oh my gosh, I can’t believe they actually thought they could sing!! It does amaze me that so many tryout that can’t carry a tune. I feel sorry for the ones who seem so crushed when they walk out from the whippin’ they get from Simon, Paula and Randy. The one’s I don’t feel sorry for are the one’s who come out ranting and raving, cussing and telling the world what stars they will be one day and we all will be sorry. Yeah, I’m sure.
Simon was his snarky self. This one contestant who sang “Fallen” belted it out with a gorgeous voice, she made it…no doubt, no questions. But Simon waited till she exited and asked, “Do we have a bigger stage this season?” So uncalled for..so Simon. Yes the gal was plus size, but so what! Does that have anything to do with her voice? UGH…he really pushes my buttons!!
There were some real stand outs and it’s just the beginning! It should be interesting to see who ends up as the final contestants!
Tonight, more tryouts…..will you be watching?

Of course I watched!! I begged so much that Big D gave in and went into the bedroom to watch the IU basketball game! LOL! They started the season in my most favorite City in the world, the Windy City. As they scanned the people, I watched like a hawk in hopes to see someone I knew! LOL! I, like you, was appauld at his 2 faced remark about the plus size lady! That was uncalled for! I can’t believe they let the “barefooted jumping jack” guy in!! I loved both set of twins that sang but the first set was my fav!!

Was it just me….I thought Paula was snakier than usual and I thought it was cruel what they did to the Ukranian girl who didn’t understand sarcasm….telling her she was really something. All three of them reminded me of lunchroom bullies!

American Idol is one of the few things I watch each season. Once the actual competition gets underway, it’s fun to watch them hone their skills, stretch and grow, and I always try to guess who will win in the end.

does watching AI make you want to sing? I know I can’t sing like that… but it makes me want to take lessons…
and yes… the girl who sang Falling was excellant! and she’s no bigger than what’s his name that won… goes to show how ‘good’ he was… i can’t even remember his name!
