If you go see any movie this weekend, you must go see “The Producers!” Big D and I saw it this evening and I can tell you, we loved it! Now Big D is not the song and dance type of guy, so I had to do some sweet talking to get him to go see this movie. A little bat of my eyes and I won him over!

I was a little worried in the beginning of the movie, it looked liked Big D was going to be bored, but Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane came to the rescue! These two are hilarious and they play off each other naturally. Uma Thurman is beautiful and surprisingly funny in the roll of Ulla. Her wardrobe was one to be envied in this film, the gowns are gorgeous!

Will Ferrell is a scene stealer and should win a Oscar for his role! I’m not a big Will Ferrell fan but he was great in this film. He had us belly laughing, you know those big loud laughs that you just can’t help? Yeah, those! Big D said there were times he thought he was going to have to quiet me down!! LOL I don’t think I have ever laughed so much at a movie as I did with this one. If you want to laugh, go see “The Producers!” Even if you don’t like musicals….try it, you just might like it! Big D did!

Sounds like you really enjoyed it! I’ve always been a Matthew Broderick fan, so I hope I get to see this one at some point.

Michele sent me by to see you, Yellowrose.
Thanks for the review of The Producers. I’d kinda like to see the play, but don’t have much interest in this movie. I saw the original and it was cute, and while this version is probably better… once was enough.

Hi Yellowrose…
I’m still having trouble reading your posts….I haven’t got a clue as to why..BUT, the column on the left came in later tonight soooo I was able to read almost the whole thing before it arrived…Once it arrived, it obscured the begginings of words….and I didn’t get the last little paragraph….
Anyway, my dear…I wanted to wush you a Very Very Happy New Year and a WONDERFUL 2006!

My hubby is anti-musical as well. I doubt I’ll get him in to see this one, but I can hope to get him to watch on DVD. He ended up liking Chicago when we watched it, so I have hope!
Michele sent me tonight!

Saw the play in NYC (sans Broderick and Lane) and LOVED it. I can’t wait to see the movie.
